Newlyweds Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz confirm in a statement just released that they are indeed expecting a child
“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”

Ashlee Simpson married her boyfriend of two years, Pete Wentz, last night, May 17th.
The ceremony took place at the home of Ashlee’s parent in Encino, Ca. A spokesperson for the couple told People magazine that,
We’re delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends.
Ashlee’s dad, Joe Simpson, performed the ceremony, which was followed by an Alice in Wonderland themed reception.
The event was a small, intimate affair with a guest list that included; Big sis Jessica and her boyfriend Tony Romo, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, and Donald Faison and his girlfriend CaCee Cobb.
Tis the season for shotgun weddings! It seems that Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz may very well be making an honest woman out of Ashlee Simpson this Saturday, who is best known as a singer/Jessica Simpson’s little sister.
The wedding location is being kept on the down-low, but San Diego and Santa Barbara are the two major cities that are being speculated about, especially since big sis Jessica was seen out and about San Diego recently.
The wedding talk has also been mixed with baby rumors; if the nuptials actually take place this Saturday, I think it will just be adding fuel to the fire that a baby is on the way! Ashlee should know all about newlyweds, considering she was on a reality show with the same name. And hopefully Pete and Ashlee won’t come to the same fate as that power-couple…they should be okay as long as they keep their marriage away from any reality show proposals. Now the real question is: who will Jessica take as her date?
Ashlee Simpson will once again be returning to reality tv. No doubt Papa Joe’s behind this.
“Joe knows that no one cared about [Jessica Simpson] before her reality show, and he’s hoping a show for Ashlee will have the same effect,” a source says.
One record-industry insider adds, “She’s been struggling with record sales. Now that she’s really interesting again, a reality show could do wonders for her career. It’s a part of doing business for this family.”
Ashlee started out her career with a reality show on MTV called The Ashley Simpson Show which ran in the the summer of 2004, which showed her recording her first album Autobiography and writing songs for her second. The album dropped a month into the show’s run and debut at No.1. Hopefully this reality show will give her the nudge she needs.

While vacationing in Costa Rica Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were robbed. Simpson said, ” We’d go to sleep and wake up, and the maid wasn’t even here , but sunglasses, my sony, my favorite wireseal hat, all this stuff, my favorite make-up bag was gone. We were like where is everything?”
When the newly engaged couple reported the items missing to resort staff they were told that they were robbed by monkeys. The resort claims that monkeys like to steal shiny items from hotel guest’s rooms.
Although it is a very unlikely story, I guess it is possible. Kinda creepy having monkeys enter your room while you sleep.
Ashlee Simpson looks well toned on the new issue of Shape magazine. It has not been determined if she is pregnant or not, although most believe she is. So here is probably one of the last pictures we will see of her before she starts showing off her pregnant belly.
She says:
“I never thought I’d be on the cover of a magazine in a bikini,” the 23-year-old singer tells the mag, but says she couldn’t say no after working out two to three times a week with celebrity trainer Michael Alexander. She also sticks to a diet of yogurt and granola for breakfast, turkey or veggie wraps for lunch and lean proteins like fish and chicken for dinner.
“I try to listen to what my body craves,” she tells the mag. “Sometime it tells me to eat more fruit, but sometimes it tells me to eat Skittles!”
On Friday, April 18th, Ashlee Simpson performed her new single “Little Miss Obsessive” live on Today show.
I would have preferred a lip-synched performance. Perhaps she has nasal allergies? In any case, there’s no doubt Simon Cowell would have ripped her a new one for this pathetic performance. Her pitch was bad, dawg.
No worries, Ash… I’m sure Paula would at least compliment your outfit.

Ashlee Simpson left much to the imagination when trying to dodge pregnancy rumors on her appearance on Today on Friday, April 18th. Matt Lauer asked Ashlee how she wanted to handle all the rumors, to which she simply responded, “only time will tell.”
Hmmm…
She then took that carefully worded comment as a lead into promoting her album, stating, “I am giving birth to my record…” Her new album, Bittersweet World, is due to release on April 22nd.
Sources close to the couple hint that this whole pregnancy rumor was created by none other then Papa Simpson. He knows just how to work the media. Go on, promote your little cash cow daughter!
It just seems very convenient that all this is coming about on the eve of her record release. Smells fishy, but then again, maybe it’s the reason for a wedding. In the great and wise words of Ashlee: “Only time will tell.”
