Last week, we got to check out the making of the “Obama Rock” video by The Not So Silent Majority at Debbie Allen’s Dance Studio in Culver City, CA (which has been featured in So You Think You Can Dance). The stars of the video are the young dancers from Debbie Allen’s studio–who are SO talented and adorable! We at Hollywire are huge fans of dance shows and love watching the youth couples perform on Dancing with the Stars, so we were really excited to watch these kids strut their stuff in person.
The video features Debbie Allen’s Dance Troupe dancing collectively while showing off their individual talents and dance styles, including hip hop, tap, jazz, etc. Watch the video below… they’re amazing!
“Obama Rock” was written as a celebratory song for this year’s historic election. “The song is intended to give everyone a voice. The world is celebrating Obama’s presidency and the positive change that is coming,” said Danielle Brisebois, one of the writers of the song.
“Obama Rock” was written and produced by Danielle Brisebois (writer/producer of Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” and “Pocketful Of Sunshine”), Rusty Anderson (Paul McCartney’s guitarist), Rick Nowels (writer of Dido’s “White Flag” and Anita Baker’s “Body And Soul”) Gregg Alexander (writer of Santana’s “Game Of Love” and “You Get What You Give”) as well as other musicians.
Stay tuned for the finished product! Check out www.obamarock.net
