After the Alma Awards, celebs left Pasadena and headed out to party at Mood Supperclub in Hollywood. The after party was hosted by Danity Kane’s Aundrea Fimbres and put on by Jin&Quinn. We discovered that the actor Efren Ramirez, most known as Pedro in ‘Napoleon Dynamite,’ can do more than act, he’s also an impressive DJ. I did a double take when I saw his twin brother Carlos Ramirez standing beside the DJ booth.

Other stars in attendance included singer Ryan Cabrera, apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas, actor Danny Trejo, actresses Phoebe Price, CC Perkinson, Christina Lopez and Natasha Alam, actors Brian Peeler and Ken Davitian, Playboy model Tabitha Taylor, NFL football player Marcellus Wiley, Latin recording artist Rico DeLargo and Damon Whitaker (Son of Forrest Whitaker).

The hostess Aundrea Fimbres of Danity Kane was lookin’ hot in her leopard print dress, and though surrounded by an entourage, was very gracious and took a moment to chat and take a photo with us. She’s the cover girl on the the new issue of Latino Future magazine.

I didn’t recognize Ryan Cabrera when I first saw him. He’s got a different, less clean cut look to him. I don’t know if I dig it, but he was a really nice guy and not as ‘Hollywood’ as he seemed back in his Ashlee Simpson days, so I’ll let the crazy long hair faux pas slide.

We were hoping that Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale might make an appearance, but apparently they had another hot affair to attend at Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank. Ashley changed out of her little yellow dress into sweats, so she could really go to town on the grub.

Too bad, you two missed out on a great catered party!

On Sunday night, August 17, the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) held the annual ALMA Awards at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, which celebrates the artistic achievements and excellence of Latinos in the entertainment industry.

The word of the night was ’sexy.’ “ Fashion critic Steve Cojocaru told Variety: “[The Alma Awards is] absolutely glamorous. The Latin stars really know how to dress up. They’re not afraid of their sexuality. And they’ve got the perfect host in Eva. That’s glamour.”

New mommy Jessica Alba looked classically stunning in her long pale pink cleavage-baring dress; in fact, I think she looked better in her one dress than host Eva Longoria did in all her eleven wardrobe changes throughout the night.

The star of the night was America Ferrera who won the ‘Chevy Entertainer of the Year’ award for her on-screen work as Betty Suarez on ‘Ugly Betty,’ as well as her off-screen efforts to encourage young people to get involved in the political process. Not only did she receive top recognition at the show, she looked fabulous doing it, wearing a Diane von Furstenberg dress, Christian Louboutin peep-toes and Fred Leighton jewelry.

Special honors were also presented to Linda Ronstadt, Shakira, and Narciso Rodriguez.

The ceremony will be televised on September 12th on ABC, but here’s a complete list of winners:

It seems ever since she’s been under the control of her father, Britney Spears’ behaviors have been a lot more normal and proper. As many people who are still interested in her know, she has been attempting to reform her image and save (what’s left of) her career by keeping her body in shape and taking certain kinds of medication to treat her psychological problems. The result of the medications not only benefit her mental illness, but also makes her less sexually active.

A source revealed that Britney had not had sex for seven months and seemed to lose desire for sexual intimacy. Though drugged Britney does not long for physical intimacy, she still desires to fill her emotional emptiness. Another close friend of Britney said that Britney was still in search of a boyfriend, not a husband, who would cuddle her and truly love her.

To be honest, Britney is better off continuing practicing celibacy or at least keeping men away from her at this point. Without sex and men, she definitely seems healthier, less traumatic, and more ambitious to rebuild her reputation and her life. I can understand why she craves love and care, but she cannot judge whether all the men around her really love her or are simply after her money. She should at least stay away from men for a while and concentrate on her career.

Last Wednesday, Brad Pitt, seen holding his adopted daughter Zahara carefully, enjoyed a tour with his mother Jane Pitt at La Fondation Marguerite etAimé Maeght, a museum in Saint-Paul, France. Zahara seemed so happy that she could finally spend some alone time with her daddy without other siblings around her competing for parental affection. Everything was perfect until—

a crack on Brad Pitt’s pants was spotted by paparazzi. If Brad Pitt had known this “little accident” on the back of his pants, it would be an awkward and uncomfortable moment for him. Maybe he just spends too much time taking care of his huge family and forgets about checking his attire properly. Brad, it is time for you to buy a new pair of pants!

Well, it is a person that is so damn skinny that their head looks freakishly large in comparison to the rest of their body; thus, resembling the toy with the same moniker, often seen on old car dashboards.

Actor Morgan Freeman was seriously injured in a car accident in rural Tallahatchie County in the Mississippi Delta around 11:30pm on Sunday August 3rd.

Freeman had been driving a 1997 Nissan Maxima that belonged to Demaris Meyer, who was in the passenger seat, when the car left the road and flipped over several times before landing in a ditch.

“They had to use the jaws of life to extract him from the vehicle. He was lucid, conscious. He was talking, joking with some of the rescue workers at one point,” said Clay McFerrin, the editor of Sun Sentinel in Charleston.

Freeman was airlifted to Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn, where he remains in serious condition. Donna Lee, Freeman’s publicist, said that he suffered a broken shoulder and arm and appears to be in a bit of pain. The condition of Freeman’s passenger, Demaris Meyer, still remains unknown.

UPDATE: According to Morgan’s publicist, Donna Lee, “He has a broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage but he is in good spirits.  He is going to have surgery this afternoon or tomorrow to correct the damage.  He says he’ll be okay and is looking forward to a full recovery.”

Donna Lee issued a statement Tuesday morning stating that, “Morgan is doing well after his surgery last night to reconnect nerves and repair damage in his left arm and hand.  The surgery last night lasted four and a half hours.  He’s visiting with family this morning.  As of this morning he’s up and walking around and looking forward to his release in a few days.”

Who is Ziyi Zhang?  If you are a fan of Chinese martial art movies, you may have noticed this beautiful Kung fu actress in movies such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), Rush Hour 2 (2001), House of Flying Daggers (2004), and Hero (2004).  Ziyi started gaining her increasing international reputation in Hollywood ever since the release of the movie, Memoirs of a Geisha (2005), and because of this movie, she was nominated as one of the candidates for the Golden Globe award of the Best Actress in the same year.  Though she did not win the award, Ziyi definitely became more well-known in the Hollywood movie industry and all of a sudden became one of the most top-notch Chinese actresses in the world.

Ziyi’s current boyfriend Vivi Nevo, who she has been dating a bit over one year, last week confirmed Ziyi and he had been engaged, and the wedding would be in next year.

Ever since Ziyi publicly declared that her boyfriend was Vivi Nevo, most of the Asian media were very enthusiastic to know the secret background of this “Ziyi’s man.”  They found out that Vivi is not just a simple man, but a man that witholds a highly important position in the movie and entertainment industries.  Vivi is a low-key billionaire, a stockholder of Time Warner, and at the same time he holds stocks in many important entertainment companies in the U.S.

Clearly, Ziyi is barking up the right tree;  Vivi can definitely help her acting career in Hollywood.  Vivi is the beginning of her ultimate ambition, or destination, to enter the American first class social circle.  Good luck Ziyi, your goal almost comes true.

Although the pair have been broken up for some time now, new pictures keep popping up. We can only hope that she doesn’t have a sex tape floating around somewhere. What’s next Miley pregnant at 15? She would beat Jamie Lynn Spears by a year.
