Esquire Magazine Names Halle Berry “The Sexiest Woman Alive”

Posted on 08 October 2008 by Tammy Cakes

I don’t quite understand why mens magazines keep coming out with these cover titles. I mean yeah we all know Halle Berry is sexy and so is Megan Fox, Charlize Theron, Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, and the list goes on and on. They need to just come out with one issue a year that is filled with the sexiest woman. I mean look how well People does with there hottest celeb issue and half of the celebs they call hot I totally disagree with.

Anyways, enough with my rambling. Esquire magazine has named the beautiful Halle Berry as the “Sexiest Woman Alive” in their November 2008 issue. In the issue Halle gives her acceptance speech, a very long acceptance speech were she asks the question why now? Why didn’t she get the title of the sexiest back when she was a Bond-girl? I ask the same question or even when she was Cat Woman.

Also in her speech she talks about what she thinks is sexy, like spaghetti (no really). She says and I quote ” To me, spaghetti is sexy, especially when it’s served off the tips of a man’s fingers. I like that.” She goes on to say that wine is sexy and lingerie is sexy and certain types of cars are sexy, and she goes on and on. To read the rest of her acceptance speech visit Esquire.com.

Halle Berry vs. Paparazzi

Posted on 25 July 2008 by ksouthall

Halle Berry

Halle Berry has filed suit against pap photogs for taking pictures of her and her baby because they got them in a shady way.

These sleeze balls trespassed onto her private property! Creepy! I am sorry, but that is a stalker move if I ever heard one!

The Oscar winner was in her own backyard with her newborn daughter, not out and about in public streets, when the pictures were taken. She (of course) flipped out when she saw the pictures on the internet and in two celebrity mags.

Halle BerryHer lawyer said a criminal complaint has been filed and an investigation is under way. Those guys are lucky they didn’t get shot! Her lawyer also said there are witnesses who saw the photographers in the middle of a “very blatant and invasive trespass.”

Something has to be done; it is one thing to be out shopping in public streets and having your picture taken, it is quite another to have your privacy invaded when you are in your own home!

What do you guys think? If you are a celebrity does that give the paparazzi free reign?

Halle Berry gives birth to a baby girl!

Posted on 16 March 2008 by Tammy Cakes

Halle Berry gives birth to a baby girl!

This morning at 10:17 am, actress Halle Berry and model boyfriend Gabriel Aubry welcomed a healthy baby girl, weighing 7lbs 4oz, at Ceders-Sinai Hospital.

Halle originally arrived at the hospital around 4am Saturday morning because she thought she was going into labor. After doing some tests, it turned out to be just a scare and the doctor sent her home around 2:45 pm. Halle came back to the hospital around 11 pm, after feeling the contractions more intensely.

According to Star magazine:

“Halle was overcome with emotion when she finally held her little girl. She said everything she had gone through was worth that moment. The tears kept coming as Halle didn’t even want the nurses to take her baby to clean her up and measure. It was a truly beautiful scene.”

Halle Berry on the cover of Instyle’s February issue

Posted on 11 January 2008 by Tammy Cakes

In the February issue of Instyle Magazine Halle Berry joyfully show off her baby bump.

Berry, who is due in March, tells In Style magazine, which goes on stands Friday, that “it’s a perfect time to be pregnant, because everything in fashion is loose-fitting with an Empire waist.”

The 41-year-old mother-to-be even jokes about her situation. “Did you know that they call this a geriatric pregnancy? I cringe when I hear that. I’m like, ‘Take that off my chart!’ “

In reality, she says the pregnancy has made her look and feel better. “My skin is aglow from all the hormones. I actually wear less makeup now, which is really good. I want to stay pregnant forever.”

And her partner, model Gabriel Aubry, 32, has only contributed to her happiness, she says. Berry enjoys visiting his family in Montreal, where she might have a few days without paparazzi hounding her on the streets.

Reese Witherspoon: The Highest Paid Actress in Hollywood

Posted on 30 November 2007 by Tammy Cakes

Yeah, she should be smiling. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Reese Witherspoon is the highest paid actress in Hollywood, with Angelina close behind.

1. Reese Witherspoon — $15 million-$20 million
2. Angelina Jolie — $15 million-$20 million (only $8 million for Beowulf)
3. Cameron Diaz — $15+ million
4. Nicole Kidman — $10 million-$15 million
5. Renee Zellweger — $10 million-$15 million
6. Sandra Bullock — $10 million-$15 million
7. Julia Roberts — $10 million-$15 million
8. Drew Barrymore — $10 million-$12 million
9. Jodie Foster — $10 million-$12 million
10. Halle Berry — $10 million

Although it seems that the actresses salaries have been going up within the last couple of years, the article states that some actresses will do a “no-quote” deals, meanining “don’t tell anyone I’m working this cheap,” in order to keep working. It seems that a lot of these women are doing these types of deals. I mean we haven’t seen any big hits from Drew Barrymore, Halle Berry, or Nicole Kidman in a while. I understand Jodie Foster being up there. At least you know when she makes a movie it will actually make some money.

The article also notes that newcomers on the rise in the paycheck stakes include Jennifer Garner, Rachel McAdams, and Katherine Heigl.
