On a side note, the boy playing young Voldemort in the preview is Hero Fiennes Tiffin, the nephew of Ralph Fiennes, who plays the adult character of the evil Voldemort. Just keeping the wizarding blood in the family!

What do you guys think of the preview? And who else agrees that Daniel Radcliffe is awesome and adorable?

Emma Watson’s $20million birthday gift

Posted on 17 April 2008 by Travis Snyder

Emma Watson PinkEmma Watson, who plays Hermione in the Harry Potter films, turned 18 on Tuesday and received access to the $20 million fortune she’s earned acting in the HP movies.

Apparently, Watson has a good set of parents because rumors are that they insisted she sit through a series of lessons in money management given by Coutts Bank (who also advise the Queen of England) in hopes that she’ll learn a thing or two and won’t blow through all that cash like some others we know…..
Think she’ll buy a Bentley like Kim Kardashian or a Rolls like Eddie Murphy just bought for their birthdays?

If you are wondering what her pal Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe, is worth… It’s an estimated $48 million!

It’s sure profitable to be a wizard these days!

‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ made into two movies

The final Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be made into two movies. The Part I  is set to be released in November of 2010 and Part II will follow six months later in May 2011.

Melissa Anelli, Webmistress of the leading fan blog, The Leaky Cauldron, says that this idea is “hugely positive.”

“This has been rumored for a long time, and even the rumor was getting fans excited in a good way,” Anelli wrote in an email Wednesday. “The fans’ number one complaint with the movies always has been that there isn’t enough time to give the rich detail and colorful characterizations in the work the full berth to flourish…Now we can have some time for that without losing some of the most beautiful scenes in the whole series.”

Longtime Potter producer David Heyman expressed a similar sentiment to the Times saying, “I swear to you it was born out of purely creative reasons. Unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book.”

As planned, Anelli wrote, “it’s a rare win-win-win situation—[Warners] gets to honor the spirit of the books, the fans get more detail and a better product, and the extra profits from a second film not only make it possible, but preferable, to the studio.”

Daniel Radcliffe, the boy who has racked up 10 years playing the infamous Harry Potter agrees, “I think it’s the only way you can do it without cutting out a huge portion of the book.”

One big decision still awaits, though. As Heyman told the Times, “The question will be, where do you break [the two movies]?…Do you break [them] with a moment of suspense or one of resolution?”
I am very, very excited about this decision. I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I’ve seen the movies too many times to count. I am so sad there is no more after this. But splitting the book up into two movies definitely makes me happy, the more Potter the better.
