Only a few more days until reality sensation Project Runway returns to Bravo. I’m so excited– I cannot wait for all the new sewing room drama to unfold! No, really, I’m really excited to see more of those awesome fashion creations that come about from the challenges set forth in the show. As ridiculous as the challenges get, there are always a few designers that shine through.

If you watch the show religiously, as I have over the last four seasons, I’m sure you have your favorite designer that didn’t quite make it to the top honors. Even though our favorite character’s weren’t named “best in show” we still love them. Here is a quick rundown of my favorite losers from each season.

Season 4 - Rami

We all love the flamboyant, over the top & ruffly Christian Sirano (who can deny his sweet disposition and “fierce” one liners?). However, Rami is my favorite loser from season 4 for his thoughtful and carefully constructed designs. Rami rocked the final challenge. As Nick Verros (Season 2) said (pretending to be Rami) after the fashion show at Bryant Park, “You want wovens bitch. I’ll give you wovens!”

Rami is a true businessman whom has been established in the fashion industry for quite some time now. In the final challenge, he designed an entire line encompassing knits, wovens, skirts, tops, separates, dresses… the list goes on. Beyond his versatility as a designer, the refined aesthetic and attention to detail sets him apart from his competitors. Given the same amount of time, he is able to produce finished pieces that are elegant and show off his awesome technical skill.

Season 3- Uli

Sweet, blond, and German… No, Uli is not Heidi’s doppelganger, but she is season 3’s queen of colorful prints and flowy dresses. She won the audience over with her positive free spirit and adventurous feminine style. Uli has a zest for life and even though she grew up in the harsh reality of communist East Germany, she has managed to escape the drabness of her childhood and grown to create beautiful clothes.

In the last challenge, she showed a cohesive elegant collection. I have to agree with the judges up until that point she was making the same dress over and over. However in the collection for Fashion Week, Uli stepped out of her comfort zone mixed it up with some separates, solids, & sparkling details but in keeping with her signature style. She had the prettiest, most wearable collection for the average woman and for that reason she is my season 3’s top pick as favorite loser.

Season 2- Daniel V

Daniel Vosovic…Season 2’s young designing prodigy. He wized through challenges with creative ease sending his more experienced fellow contestants into a tizzy. Daniel’s clean, elegant, and perfectly constructed designs brought him all the way to the finale where Chloe Dao snatched victory away from the fan favorite designer. I can’t overstate how bummed I was when Daniel lost Season 2’s final challenge (I’m still in denial).

Anyways, his unique perspective and design talent showed through his work. His wit, thoughtfulness, and understated personality makes him a likable character to watch and root for (unfortunately ladies, he’s gay and taken). Daniel continues his blooming career in the fashion industry (he designed all the outfits on the cover of “Bonfire” magazine from Lipstick Jungle) and he will be an up and coming designer to watch. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Season 1- Austin Scarlett

With a name like Austin Scarlett, you have to be from the south and a seriously fierce diva. Well, Austin is a city boy from New York New York, but true to his name he is a true diva. Austin was Season 1’s over the top personality. You couldn’t ignore his pale skin, blond hair, and the way he dresses like a Louis XIV French Courtier. But you have to give it up for the boy for not being afraid to show off his style. We all know he was probably beat up a lot as a kid growing up.

Personality aside, Austin produced some awe inspiring garments. He was the only one to use real produce (corn husks) in the grocery store challenge. He took chances and sometimes he failed to edit his ostentatious style, but no one can deny he has a point of view (not to mention he can sew like a bad-ass mofo). And although he never made it to the final 3, Austin is still doing well for himself these days. He designs his own line of (what else…) wedding gowns. Laurie from the “Real Housewives” bought one for her opulent OC wedding.

That’s my loser round-up! Can’t wait to see who becomes my new favorite loser this time around on Season 5…cuz, ya know, I’ll never be satisfied with just one winner.

5. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

Nick Cannon is a certified hunter–cougar hunter, that is. At 27, he is 11 years younger than his superstar wife. It’s also no secret that Mariah has had a much more successful and farther spanning career than her new hubby, and she probably has a lot more in the bank as well. So what was with the quick nuptials? Did Mariah hear her biological clock slow its ticking, and figure a younger guy would improve her chances for kids? Was Nick looking for a Sugar Mama? We’ll keep an eye out for any baby announcements…

4. Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams

I guess it’s not too much of a surprise for Mandy Moore to be dating singer Ryan Adams, since that’s where her career started. But looking at the picture of the two reminds me a bit of Beauty and the Geek–or a sketchy older guy coming on to a pretty young thing. Maybe if he gets his hair back to a…normal color, he might be a bit easier on the eyes. But hey; love is blind, after all.

3. Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil

The British soul singer has been married to Blake for a little over a year, and what a chaotic and sporadic year it has been! A few months into the marriage, images surfaced of a battered and bruised Amy after a wild night with her husband. But Amy herself has admitted to the occasional spousal abuse as well, saying,

I’ll beat up Blake when I’m drunk. I don’t think I have ever bruised him, but I do have my way. If he says one thing I don’t like then I’ll chin him.

Wild! And if that’s not enough, her husband was arrested back in November, and Amy herself has since been “arrested by appointment” (whatever that means!) as well for assault and drugs. But when she’s not in jail (either visiting her hubby or on her own ”appointments”), Winehouse can be seen hanging around with random men, making videos while doing drugs, playing with mice with Pete Doherty, or singing racist songs. 2. Tilda Swinton and Sandro Kopp

Ice Queen Tilda Swinton is currently involved with German/New Zealand artist Sandro Kopp, whom she has been seeing since 2004 after they met during the filming of “The Chronicles of Narnia”. The strangest thing about this couple isn’t the age difference (he’s 29; she’s 47), nor that Kopp broke up with ex via e-mail after he began seeing Swinton (read about that here) . No, the strangest thing about this couple is that Swinton is already married to artist/playwright John Byrne–and he has given the relationship the go-ahead! Apparently, her husband has okayed the open relationship, and Swinton even brings her boy toy home occasionally to the house she shares with Byrne and their 10-year-old twins.

1. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson

Hollywood’s wildchild Lindsay Lohan has been linked to several men over the past–Aaron Carter (who?), Wilmer Valderrama, Harry Morton, and Calum Best; but the relationship that has been causing the most hype is the most recent and most controversial one with DJ Sam Ronson.

Magazines have been trying to get Lindsay to out the relationship, and she has been offered large sums in exchange. LiLo’s dad has also sold out given his opinion about his daughter’s relationship, insinuating that the girls are a couple. But the rumors are definitely swirling: Has Lindsay given up on boys? Are they just friends? Is it for publicity? Or is Lindsay just a big swinger?
If Lindsay and the DJ are actually an item, it would be one of the few times where a young Hollywood It-Girl has had a public lesbian relationship. And the relationship is #1 on our list because it is so far away from the norm–it makes sense that Lindsay would be the celeb who shakes things up!

It’s almost summer time, and you know what that means…movie time! Studios are going to be putting out a lot of great films this summer, but there definitely will be some stinkers in there. I care about all you Hollywire readers, and I don’t want you to waste your $10 on a film that everyone already knows should be in the crapper.

I offer you the top ten movies I (and the rest of Hollywood) am anticipating this summer. So take heed, Hollywire-ians, and choose wisely. If you need more help in deciding, go ahead and watch the trailer by clicking on the film title!

Summer blockbusters that are still being anticipated:

1. Iron Man (released in theaters May 2nd)

2. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (released in theaters May 22nd)

These two movie monsters have already been doing damage at the box office. If you haven’t seen either of these movies, you need to stop reading and go right now to the nearest theater and watch them. One at a time…a double feature, I don’t know– add some adventure to your life.

But seriously people, these movies are an absolute must. I didn’t even read the Marvel comics before seeing Iron Man and I am still as equally obsessed as a person who did. And it will make you L-O-V-E Robert Downey, Jr. again. *sigh*

And Indiana Jones!? Need I say more? You should already have your shoes on walking out the door to so see “Innnnndyyyyy!” Say it in Willie Scott’s whiny voice with me now… just a little ditty for all you Indiana Jones fans out there.

3. The Incredible Hulk

Release Date: June 13th.

Thought that the trailer for the newest Hulk remake felt like deja vu? I hope I am not the only one who feels that way! This film is a remake of the 2003 Ang Lee version of this superhero. It stars Ed Norton as Bruce Banner and Liv Tyler as Betty Ross. Not only is Banner battling the monster inside of him, but now he has a new adversary who has also been inflected by the same Gama radiation– The Abomination, played by Tim Roth. And he is the only creature that can truly destroy the Hulk. Chaos surely will ensue. But you don’t have to be a die hard comic book reader, or nerd for that matter, to like this movie. I for one get super excited just watching the trailer. It makes me wanna go work out… is that normal?

For the classic comedian:

4. Step Brothers

Release Date: July 25th.

From the team that brought you one of my guilty pleasures: Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, is a movie about two middle age guys that each live with their single parents. Did I mention it stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly as the two middle aged men?! Genius. Ferrell lives with his mom while Reilly lives with his father. Then, you guessed it: Ferrell and Reilly’s parents marry and they become step brothers (not that hard to deduce from the title). Their antics as new brothers turn this new family upside down as they try to get along and keep their parents together. I don’t know about you but I’m a sucker for Will Ferrell movies. Add in John C. Reilly, and heck, I might even see this twice!

For ones wanting a major scare:

5. The Happening

Release Date: (Friday) June 13th.

Since the plot has been really hush hush over M. Night Shyamalan’s latest movie, I don’t really have a lot of deets to share about this flick. But it’s about a man, who just so happens to be played by a Mr. Mark Wahlberg, who is on the run with his family as a cataclysmic natural crisis turns the world upside down. Sounds intense. I think we all remember the M. Night Shyamalan who created Lady in the Water and are quick to forget the M. Night Shyamalan who scared the living daylights out of us in Unbreakable, The Sixth Sense and Signs. Yea, you remember how freaked out you were! Rumor is this is going to another one of his great movies. Pair that up with a release date of Friday the 13th and I’m already creeped out.

For the most touching experience:

6. The Dark Knight

Release Date: July 18th.

Fresh off one of the most shocking tragedies this year, I feel that this movie would have done swimmingly even if Heath Ledger did not pass away. However, that being the case, I think some people may just come out and see this movie because it was the last complete role of his career. But I love that Warner Brothers isn’t playing that card–it gives me hope for Hollywood. That said, this is the much much much (did I mention much?!) anticipated sequel to Batman Begins. And if you didn’t know that, shame on you. This film finds our hero waging a war on dismantling all organized crime in Gotham with the help of his usual cast of characters. Their success goes unchecked until a new criminal arrives on the scene– yup, everyone’s favorite tortured clown! The Joker uses this crack down as an opportunity to steal from organized crime and to blackmail them into forming a united army to take down the Dark Knight. All cast members are coming back to play their original roles…except one. Katie Holmes chose not to reprise her role as Rachel Dawes. The reason? Scheduling conflicts. So in lieu of Katie’s mistake decline, Maggie Gyllenhaal stepped in. All the pieces are set to make this one of the most memorable blockbusters this summer. Did I mention that I have been seeing trailers for over a year now?! Now that is anticipation.

For awesome action seekers:

7. Wanted

Release Date: June 27th.

I guess I should have added in the description “for people who love to watch Angelina Jolie DO ANYTHING.” This movie is based on the graphic novel series by Mark Millar, and the story is about a regular ho-hum guy named Wes, played by James McAvoy, who is solicited by a woman named Fox (how fitting!), played by Angelia Jolie, to join the Fraternity. But this one is not to be confused with a dirty house infested with sketchy college boys. The Fraternity is a secret organization that trains Wes as an enforcer of justice. So to sum up this movie in 4 words or less: guns, Angelina Jolie, awesomeness. Oh, and Morgan Freeman stars in it as well. I am already giving it two thumbs up in my book.

For the politically incorrect comedy supporter:

8. Tropic Thunder

Release Date: August 15th.

This movie is about a group of spoiled, high-profile actors shooting a big-budget war movie that are forced to become the soldiers they are portraying through a series of freak occurrences. Ben Stiller, who stars in and directs this movie, is long overdue to release something truly funny. He works alongside Owen Wilson, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., and Nick Nolte…just to name a few. This could be the moment when Stiller, Black, and Wilson cement their reputations as their generation’s most reliable funnymen or it could bomb horribly. But I’m putting my money on a box office blowout. And it could also prove that Robert Downey Jr. is back for good. The trailer is so over the top that it will always make me laugh, no matter how many times I see it. Plus, look out for Tom Cruise, Tobey Maguire, Mickey Rooney and Matthew McConaughey to make appearances. Yes, I did say Tom Cruise. No, I’m not lying. I bet now Tropic Thunder just got bumped up a few notches on the movies you most want to see.

For the obsessive sequel watcher:

9. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Release Date: August 1st.

It’s okay to admit you have a problem if you’re addicted to watching sequels. Just don’t tell anybody. But this time the third installment might be able to rival the first. Brendan Fraser reprises his role as Rick O’Connell and is back battling mummies and the undead in a new adventure. This time Rick, his son Alex, his wife Evelyn, played by Maria Bello (don’t look for Rachel Weis, she bowed out), and his brother-in-law Jonathan are in China. They must face the ancient Dragon Emperor, played by Jet Li, who is resurrected with only two goals: to raise his 10,000 warriors who are suspended in animation and to take over the world. So it seems that the O’Connells have their work cut out for them. Add in some great geography like the catacombs of the Forgotten Palace and the tops of the snowy Himalayas and it will be like a mini vacation of sorts. The Mummy franchise is sticking to it’s winning equation again: eerie undead + kickass bad guy = mega hit.

For the nalstagic television turned movie lover:

10. Get Smart

Release Date: June 25th.

Based off the 1960s hit TV series of the same name, this movie follows the continued adventures of America’s ultimate secret agent. Steve Carell leads an amazing cast, playing Maxwell Smart, who is accompanied by Anne Hathaway playing his better half, Agent 99. Alan Arkin checks in as The Chief this time around. Maxwell Smart and gang battle an evil syndicate know as KAOS to try and prevent them from world domination. I really think this movie will be an enormous success for two reasons. One, because of all the fans of the TV series and two, because Steve Carell is one of the funniest guys right now. Not only will fans of The Office see this movie, but people who want to reminisce about the days of Adams and Feldon. Box office gold abound, I say! Is it bad if I didn’t even know what the TV series was about until I looked it up because of the movie? Oops.

Well, there you have it. I can only hope that you will consider my advice when you flock to the theaters to escape the high temps and even higher gas prices. Pick one, two, five, all ten…no matter what the number I’m sure you will enjoy which ever one you choose!

It has been a long 4 years sans Sex in the City and many have been foaming at the mouth in anticipation for the big screen premier of the popular series.

If you are already Sex savvy, then I suggest watching the entire season 6 as a refresher before the big day. Lucky for you if you have HBO, because you can catch the whole season On Demand through your cable provider…failing that, you can always rent. Don’t have time to watch? HBO’s website offers an entire episode synopsis that you can read at your leisure.

If you’re new to Sex and the City, but want to get in on the fun, then this story is for you!

Here is a list I have complied of the top six episodes to watch to get familiar with the girls story lines. Why six? Because I said so…just love it; or don’t.

1) Start with the season 4 finale, episode 66 entitled I heart NY

Carrie and Aidan have just broken up in a prior episode and you really see the chemistry between her and Big here. Samantha has really grown as a character and develops a relationship with a man she cares about. She also gets an eye opening lesson on how relationships work and ultimately learns the largest lesson of all: when you give your heart to someone you run the risk of getting hurt. Charlotte has finally divorced Trey and is starting to move on, while Miranda begins the biggest relationship of her life. Grab the tissues, this is a good one!

2) Next, I recommend season 6, episode 80 entitled Hop, Skip and a Week

This skips ahead a little but it is a wonderful episode in Charlotte’s story showing how she and new boyfriend Harry have broken up (not seen in this episode) after Charlotte pushes him to set a date for a wedding reasoning that she is too good for him. This episode shows the aftermath and shows Charlotte going through the hardest break up she has ever had, but she ultimately wins him back by realizing what she really wants. Carrie begins to have problems with new beau Berger. This is the episode featuring the infamous ‘Post It’ note. Samantha has moved on and is starting to get serious with Smith as his career begins to take off. This also shows Miranda’s struggles with balancing a child and a high demanding job.

3) Moving on a bit, the next must see episode is #82 entitled The Catch, also from season 6

A hilarious episode showing each story progress. Carrie remains single after the Berger split, Miranda has an encounter with Steve’s new girlfriend, well sort of! Smith tries to take the relationship with Samantha to the next level with side slitting results, and Charlotte finally gets the dream wedding in which everything goes wrong!

4) Number 4 to watch is episode 86 simply called One, also from season 6

Another fun episode that shows progression in all the girls stories. Miranda has been seeing a hot Dr. for the NY Knicks who has just professed his feelings to her and Miranda can’t seems to return the same feelings. She is upset and worried that she is destined to wind up alone. Brady (Miranda’s kid) has his first birthday party and Miranda is finally able to say the words and express herself. This is also when the famed Russian artist Aleksandr Petrovsky is introduced into Carrie’s life. Samantha deals with getting older and some of the side effects leave her worried taking drastic measures. In all this comedy Charlotte has to deal with a real life shaker and brings the episode around into a tear jerker with a experience that leaves her stronger and more appreciative.

5) Then on to episode 88, The Ick Factor, from you guessed it, season 6

In this one, it is Samantha in the limelight as she reveals a big ordeal that she is about to embark on. Miranda and Steve take it to the next level and utters the funniest line of the episode “I said, “no white, no ivory, no nothing that says ‘virgin.’” I have a child. The jig is up.” Classic Miranda.

6) Last, but not least, you need to see the series finale, episode 94, An American Girl in Paris (Part Deux)– well really this is a two-parter and you could count it as one and see An American Girl in Paris (Part Une) as well

The stories wrap up quite nicely. No matter what, you have to see this one, and don’t forget the tissues, it’s a good one!!

There is no question that Hollywood sets the stage for style, and right now the stars of Hollywood are showing that having a baby bump is what’s beautiful. Now, we bring you the 5 best baby-bumps in all their pre-natal glory, starting with ready-to-burst to barely-announced!

1. Jessica Alba

Pregnant and dressed to kill! Jessica is having a baby with fiance Cash Warren, whom she met while filming “Fantastic Four”–and with parents like those two, I have a feeling this baby is going to be fantastically gorgeous as well.

2. Angelina Jolie

The most anticipated birth may be the upcoming one for the power team that is the Jolie-Pitt family. Angelina has confirmed that they are having twins, though I am not sure the world can handle the amazing beauty of two babies at once from Brad and Ange. These babies will make 6 children for the family–all under the age of 8!

3. Gwen Stefani

Little Kingston will celebrate his second birthday later this month, and soon will celebrate the birth of a little brother or sister. Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale are expecting their 2nd child later this year, as confirmed by Gavin’s father in January. Gwen has kept a steady maternity style in the form of long, flowy dresses that look hip and comfortable.

4. Nicole Kidman

At 40 years old, Nicole Kidman is the oldest mother on this list, but age does not stop her from being completely glamourous. Like Gwen, Nicole Kidman’s pregnancy was also confirmed in January, and her due date is in July. This will be her first birth, as well as her first child, with husband Keith Urban; she has two adopted kids with Tom Cruise.

5. Amy Poehler

Perhaps she felt inspiration after filming “Baby Mama”? Funny girl Amy Poehler and husband Will Arnett announced the pregnancy just a few weeks ago, and it will be their first child together. The couple have been in multiple comedies together, such as “Blades of Glory” and “Horton Hears a Who”–so it’s likely that this baby will have a lot of funny bones. And while that baby bump is still tiny, there is no doubt that Amy and Will are a cute pair!

These proud mamas and papas are doing their best to make the world a more beautiful place by filling it with adorable children. I can’t wait to see the pictures when the babies are finally born–as well as hear what kind of names they are given!

And what about the “Maybe Baby” questions?

Rumors of possible pregnancies Beyonce and Jay Z, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, and Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were sparked by each of the couple’s recent (and very sudden) marriages. Who is, and who isn’t? I guess we can just say time will tell–and perhaps in a few more months we will have more “Baby Bumps” to add to the list!

Nick Jonas began his singing career at the young age of 6.

Nick was discovered while singing in a barber shop and referred to a show business manager. By age 7 he was on Broadway.

They have been on tour 6 times.

The Jonas Brothers started off with the Jonas Brothers Fall 2005 Promo Tour, in November 2005. Since then they have had at least one tour a year, with 2 tours in 2007 and 2008. They will began their 7th tour, Burning Up Tour, on July 4th, 2008 in Toronto, Ontario.

They are charitable.

The Jonas Brothers donate 10% of their earnings to Nick’s charity, Change for the Children Foundation .

They have a little brother.

Little brother Frankie Jonas, a.k.a. “Bonus Jonas”, is not a member of the band, but they did name an album after him titled, “Jonas Brothers; Bonus Jonas Edition.”

They wear purity rings.

All three Jonas Brothers have vowed to stay pure until marriage. Nick has stated that purity rings are awesome and that the rings are, “just one of our ways of kind of like being different than everybody else out there.”

1. You are awesomely hot

Seriously, hot… like ‘take your shirt off I wanna rub oil on your chest’ hot. I first noticed that when I went to see Transformers in the theater, my heart and tummy did funky back flips when he came on screen. They way he looked at Megan Fox (who lives up to her name BTW!) it made me want him to look at me like that, and yea, it freaked me out! This is the guy from Holes for Christ sake! I set the timer on my T.V. to come on when he was on Letterman the other night, I hear his name and I perk up I can’t help it! I am obsessing over him and I can’t stop, I need like some sort of a step program. But not 12 of them, thats overkill.

2. You kinda creep me out

The fact that he is 6 years younger then me is enough to creep me out (not sure if that would technically make me a “cougar” or not…) I am usually into older gentlemen ala Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, George Clooney, Brad Pitt. Well you get the picture, So I have no idea why I am so sprung on this kid! But then there is a weird cadence to his speaking in interviews, and he gets all shifty and fidgety and looks around a lot. Like he is so uncomfortable that it makes you uncomfortable, I totally love it and I want to hug him so he will stop moving…. and then sit on his lap, oh yeah, I went there…. what?!

3. You stay away from the party scene and care about your craft

I think I found one Les Deux drunken paparazzi video and he was just like standing there, not scandalous at all! He totally runs like hell when they come anywhere near him, who does that?! Shia LaBeouf does! When asked about the club scene and all the young stars partying it up in a Entertainment Weekly interview, he had this to say;

”It could all go away tomorrow if I’m at a club drinking like an asshole,” adding that, “someone like Lindsay Lohan’s personality is [more] famous than her performance.”

Not only does he ad lib a lot, which adds realness, but he adds an angst to his roles that make the characters believable. Talented men are sexy.

4. You are wicked awesome with a sarcastic sense of humor

He totally doesn’t take himself seriously and that is so endearing and hot. He started off doing stand up when he was 10 and apparently his material was very dirty, I totally dig the dirty jokes. He is so dry in interviews and that sends me! I would love to just go back and forth with the snarky dry comments. I get you Shia LaBeouf.

5. You run really, really fast

He challenged a photog that was following him in D.C. to a foot race and totally won! Fast runners are soooo hot! It gets me every time! I love a man that can run, don’t ask me why,

and he has really pretty eyes
