First Photo of Matthew McConaughey and his son Levi

OK! magazine has the first pixs and exclusive interview of Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves with their son Levi in their latest issue. Levi was welcomed into the world July 7.

Here is part of the interview you can catch in the new issue of OK!:

On the delivery: “We found a great rhythm. Contractions started kicking in. I sat there with her, right between her legs. We got tribal on it, we danced to it! I was DJ-ing this Brazilian music.”

“I have it all chronicled. Becoming a dad is something I’ve dreamed of doing since I was 10. Becoming a father felt very, very natural. We were jamming! She was sweating. No painkiller, let’s go. She just clicked into that gear that only a woman has at a time like this. We’d been up for 40-something hours, and we went from dead tired to a really steadfast, ‘Let’s handle this… let’s stay in the rhythm. Don’t let the contraction be more than you.’”

“We ended up having an epidural because, on the large contractions, the umbilical cord was being compressed. They went in and tried the vacuum. This is where I learned — and no one tells you this — but having a baby is a bloody, pukey, sweaty, primeval thing! And I mean that as a beautiful thing. It is wild. But the vacuum didn’t work, and the doctor said, ‘C-section.’

On finding out the sex of the little guy: “I said, ‘Come here, little man. I saw the pecker and screamed that we’d been right all along about him being a boy. Then I brought him over to her [Camila].

“It was neat to find out what the sex was because we didn’t have the doctor tell us beforehand.”

On who he looks like: “Everybody thinks he looks like me because of the hair and skin tone.” Camila says. “I think he looks more like Matthew every day.”

And Matthew adds, “I’ve pulled out some baby pictures of myself, and the resemblance is amazing. This kid has a lot to learn from us. I want him to come out being a little wiser, a little cooler and a little happier than we are.”

On what she’d like to work on in the future: “I’d love to do a younger, cleaner version of Sex and the City.”

On her controversial Vanity Fair photo spread: “I don’t dwell on the negativity. I want to be a positive role model, so we just try to keep [that stuff] as much not talked about as possible.”

On her ’sudden’ fame: “It was insane. All of a sudden I woke up one day and went to Macy’s and saw myself on a T-shirt. I feel empowered when I see my face on a T-shirt. A girl wouldn’t be wearing a shirt with me on it just because she liked my show. She must look up to me.”

On her big love for God: “I don’t know what I would do without a God that blesses me with the ability to do this.”

On wearing a purity ring like fellow Disney stars the Jonas Brothers “I like to think of myself as the girl that no one can get, that no one can keep in their hand. Even at my age, a lot of girls are starting to fall and I think if [staying a virgin] is a commitment girls make, that’s great.”

The seven things she can’t live without in honor of her latest single, “7 Things”: 1) “The Bible. It’s my ‘how-to’ guide for life.” 2) “My mommy!” 3) “My Yorkie Roadie and my lovebird Zazu.” 4) “Grilled cheese. Mmm…” 5) “Music and my beautiful Gibson guitar.” 6) “My black Chuck Taylor Converse sneakers.” 7) “My Sidekick.”

Posted on 10 July 2008 by tammy

Jessica Biel On The Cover Of Harper’s BazaarJessica Biel is on the cover of the August 2008 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
On being in a relationship: “the idea of being with somebody I care about, who’s my soul mate, that sounds groovy.”

On getting married: “The actual idea of signing those papers and doing all this stuff … I’ve never been someone who’s like, ‘I have to, have to, have to have it,’”

On having kids: “I think when you make a decision to have a family and children, everything else comes second,” Biel says. “But if I choose to have a family, I would hope to create a balance, because I don’t want to lose my sense of identity, my career, and my independence. Why can’t I have both? Why can’t I have everything? So many women do it.”

On being in shape: “I am the shape that I am. I feel no shame in it, you know what I mean? My mother always made me feel just great the way I was.”

On being an active kid: “We didn’t really have video games or watch TV. We were always camping. My brother and I spent all of our time outside,” she says. “Playing soccer. Doing gymnastics, skiing, snowboarding. That’s really how I grew up. So for me, being athletic and active is a way of life.”

Usher and His New Baby Boy in Essence Magazine

Usher And His New Baby Boy In Essence Magazine

In the new issue of Essence Magazine, R&B sensation, Usher, opens up about his ups and downs of being married, the choices he’s made, putting God first, and his ultimate purpose: being the best father he can be to his son, Usher Raymond the V.

In the last year, you got married and you’ve had a baby. Which has changed you more?

“They’re both linked—I can’t have one without the other. But the one thing that changed me the most is having a wife. Our child is an extension of that union.”

Why?

“Because now I represent what he is to become. He’s gonna admire me, he’s gonna look up to me. He’s gonna say, “I wanna be”—or he should say— “I wanna be like my father. I wanna be a man of valor. I wanna possess what my father has as a man.” To get married was a choice. To have a child is a responsibility.”

Does that new responsibility challenge you to make music that is more responsible?

“I started making ‘Here I Stand’ before I had my son and before I was married. It was a deliberate choice to make music with substance, not just about the things that we’re accustomed to—music about being the celebrity, the player, or having the car, the girl and the bling.”

Usher And His New Baby Boy In Essence Magazine

Your father wasn’t around to raise you. How do you plan to be different for your son than your father was for you?

“Just simply being there. I don’t judge my father because I forgave him for anything he’d ever done to hurt me unintentionally. My father and I had a very short amount of time together throughout my entire life, but the most valuable time was during his final days. He asked me to forgive him for not being there. He asked me to give him a chance, give him a shot because he loved me, and he had always loved me. But it was very difficult for him to be in the situation he was in and be the example he wanted me to follow. So he intentionally stayed away. And he was kept away from me too. He didn’t like it, but he didn’t fight it because he knew he wasn’t living right.”

What would you say to young men and women about what they should expect from a man who’s a father? What is living right as a father? How do you define that? How would that man look?

“That man would accept his responsibilities as a father, regardless of whether he was with the mother of the child. Men will leave a situation for several reasons. One, it’s not comfortable. It may be violent. The two of you may grow apart. But you should never abandon that responsibility, which is to be there, reading with your child, being supportive of your child’s growth. That is communicating. That is making the choice to put your child before your own vanity.”

If you could take your finger and touch your 9-month-old son, Usher V, on the head and impart some certain knowledge, what would you want him to know?

“First of all, I’d actually look inside myself and evaluate what I felt like I missed from my own father.”

What did you miss?

“Knowing that I was accepted. That I mattered. And hearing that he cared enough to put me before himself.”

First Pixs of Jamie Lynn Spears and Daughter Maddie Briann Aldridge

Jamie Lynn Spears And Daughter Maddie Briann Aldridge

In her first time interview as a new mom, Jamie Lynn discuss with OK! magazine her labor pains, what her first week of motherhood has been like and how her fiance, Casey Aldridge, came up with their daughter’s name.

On waiting for the big moment at the hospital:

“Once I got in there, my doctor was just so calm and so good it was not bad at all,” she says. “I was just talking to Casey. And you know what’s so weird? I was asking him if he was okay. He was like, ‘Yeah.’ We were both so excited.”

“They’d told me it would be an eight- to 12-hour labor, and I was ready to have the baby in three to four hours,” Jamie Lynn tells OK!. “I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed.”

On Baby Maddie’s routine:

“She is very good,” says Jamie Lynn. “She’ll feed every two or three hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I’ll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. There’s no screaming and crying.”

The proud mama continues, “We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I’ve worked one out with her, and we’re happy going about our little life.”

On how Casey came up with the baby’s name:

“Maddie is a name that Casey thought of, and I really liked it,” Spears told OK! “Briann was because, a week and a half before she was born, one of Casey’s cousins, who he was really close with, passed. He was in a car accident. His name was Brian. She’s also named after my older brother, Bryan Spears. We just added another ‘N’ to it and made her Maddie Briann,” Spears told the mag.

Although Jamie Lynn entered show business at a young age, like most celebrity parents, they wish for something else for their children.

“I hope she has good friends, finds a hobby that she loves and is really sure of herself and knows exactly what she wants to do. And I want to better myself, so that I can make her life better.”

Lynne Spears has been helping her daughter take care of her new baby since her arrival. She also talked to Ok! and said that she thinks that Jamie Lynn will be a very good mother.

“She’s warm and nurturing. And the most fun time will be when she’s the soccer mom, the carpool mom. That was the most fun I had as a mother,” she told the magazine.

James McAvoy on the Cover of Details Magazine

James McAvoy On The Cover Of Details Magazine

Hot Scottish actor James McAvoy, best known for his break-out performance in Atonement, is starring in the new action-packed film Wanted, along side Angelina Jolie. In the August 2008 issue of Details magazine, James opens up about being critical, the types of movies he hopes to make, and what it’s like working with Angelina Jolie.

On being critical:

“I judge people very quickly,” he says. “There was someone I worked with recently who, within five minutes, displayed all the attributes of a fucking dick, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Weeks later I was still there, going ‘You’re so fucking self-obsessed.’ I’ve spent a long time giving people the benefit of the doubt, and I’m tired of it.”

On the types of movies he likes to star in:

“I want to be like Matt Damon and do a hugely successful thinking-man’s action franchise like Bourne.”

“Hugh Grant is f—ing great and he’s funny. I like romantic comedies. I’ve been in one and I f—ing loved it. I got to show off and I got to be a d—. It’s always fun to play d—. That’s why I loved Last King (of Scotland) —I got to be such a wanker.”

On being cast in Wanted alongside Angelina Jolie:

“I think inside all actors, there’s a kid who secretly yearns to jump off buildings and say ‘Yippeekayay, motherf—er!’ I also thought that the fact that they were willing to cast someone like me showed a willingness to step outside the usual action-movie realm.”

Gisele Bundchen on the Cover of GQ

Posted on 18 June 2008 by tammy

Gisele Bundchen Covers GQ Magazine

In the July issue of GQ magazine, we see that Gisele Bundchen hasn’t left her Victoria’s Secret underwear modeling days behind. She is stripped down to her underoos (or nothing) for the sexy photo shoot in next month’s issue.

In the article, Gisele opens up about her career, her reputation, and her relationship with Tom Brady, a.k.a. The Luckiest Man on Earth.
On whether or not she has a “signature expression”: “A photo is a story. Who will be this woman? Who will be wearing those sexy tops with boys’ underwear? I try to understand. Who is she? What kind of mood is she in? Like, whatever, I’m in my bedroom. I’m like, my boyf—”

On approaching men: “I’ve always been in serious relationships. I meet someone and date him for a long period. I don’t sit there thinking, like, ‘I wonder if I can seduce that guy.’ I have other things in my mind.”

On the various rumors about her: “People are unbelievable. The other day a girl on my plane was pulling my hair. She was like, “I just want to check if—” This is all my hair, by the way. I did not have extensions, let me tell you.”

On the reports that she’s the highest paid model in the world: “Do you think that’s important to me? Look, this is my job. I take pictures. There is no big deal. I would like to know who this reporter is finding out all of these amounts. And I would like him to talk to my accountant and figure out where is the cash that’s missing. Because I haven’t seen it.”

On telling the Boston Herald that Tom Brady is “not too shabby” back in 2005 when shown a photo of him: “Look, I’m Brazilian. I had never seen football before. I’m freezing, and all I’m thinking is, when can I go back to New York City? I didn’t understand why they were all hitting each other. Now I do, but I didn’t. I just wanted to get out of there, so I’m just gonna say what you say to get out of a conversation. If he had been any other guy, I would have said the same thing. We met through a friend who knew us both for a long time. Believe me, I didn’t even remember [the picture of Brady]. Our friend knew that we would like each other. And we did. So I guess he was right.”

On her relationship with Tom “I think we have a lot of things in common, and I think he is a really great person. He really, genuinely doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. And he is a very positive person.”

Mary-Kate Olsen On The Cover of Elle’s July Issue

Posted on 04 June 2008 by tammy

Mary-Kate Olsen On The Cover of Elle’s July Issue

Mary-Kate Olsen is in the new issue of Elle magazine talking about movies, fashion, and her crazy life.

Here is a piece of the interview. For video and the rest of the interview, click here.

Mary-Kate Olsen On The Cover of Elle’s July Issue

On Mary-Kate’s up bringing:

“I grew up going to regular school and still have friends from that time in my life,” Mary-Kate says of her years at Campbell Hall. “And as crazy and hardworking as my life has been, my parents knew how important it was to have a normal life as well. I grew up in a big family. And although I was always surrounded by a lot of adults [in show business], my big hobby was horseback riding, so I was surrounded by all my horseback riding friends, too. I was surrounded by people who cared about me and loved me.”

Mary-Kate Olsen On The Cover of Elle’s July Issue

Do profit motives complicate or even cause sibling rivalry?

“We don’t agree all the time. The way we go about business or designing or making a decision is that we come at it from two completely different angles that at the end of the day, even when we don’t think we’re agreeing with each other, we are agreeing. We’re just getting there in different ways. Unless you’re a twin, you honestly can’t know how close twins can be. There’s such a strength, but that also makes it…”

“When there’s that much love there’s…well, there’s the opposite of everything, but it stems from love, and it stems from passion. We’re driven people. I do know I can’t work in an office. Ashley, on the other hand, loves going to an office.”

Mary-Kate Olsen On The Cover of Elle’s July Issue

About being rich:

“No, But it’s nobody’s business if I am or I’m not. I mean, if you want to have a discussion about fame and what does it really mean to be famous these days, what’s celebrity anymore, what’s media? That’s different.” Mary-Kate Olsen On The Cover of Elle’s July Issue

About being a celebrity:

“It’s weird to be called a celebrity or talk about it. I don’t talk about being a celebrity in my business meetings. I don’t talk about it with my friends. It’s not a part of my life. It’s a media perception of who I am. It’s very weird. I mean, if I see a paparazzi shot of me walking that’s in a magazine or something at some event, it’s as if I see it from an outsider’s point of view. There’s like a character, almost, and then there’s me.”
