Miley Cyrus has been making the rounds here on Hollywire. From the make-out pictures with that creepy douche dude, to the apology to fellow Disney star Selena Gomez, Miley has had quite a week with us. But the week is only half way through, and she’s got more news to announce.
As previously posted, there were plans for a live battle between the M&M cru and ACDC. Well it’s become official - M&M and ACDC will battle on the Cyrus hosted Teen Choice Awards! This message was officially announced via the you tube accounts of Miley & Mandy and Adam/Chu.
Mondy, August 4th, 2008, a winner will be declared by the end of the night. The Teen Choice Awards will air on Fox at 8pm / 7pm Central.
And just a random note - clicking ‘more info’ on the youtube page for the video, they mention the use of a song off of The Dark Knight Official Soundtrack. Check the song out on iTunes, you’ll find it to be the most popular song bought off the album. I think that just shows how insanely influential Miley and this whole dance battle is in general.
Along with hosting duties, Cyrus will perform her single 7 Things off her Billboard number one record, Breakout.
The Miley Cyrus and Mandy Jiroux Dance Battle video ends with a clip of Jon Chu and his minion, Adam Sevani, stating the only way to settle the battle is “in person.”
On June 23rd, Jon Chu posted a new video confirming the live battle will indeed happen with more details to come. At the end of the video is a note for the M&M Cru to “…get more ice cream.” This is a reference to Miley and Mandy’s “Final Dance Crew Battle” which starts off with the duo eating ice cream in defeat from the ACDC response.
Through blogs across the web, users expressed disappointment in the M&M Cru response, declaring ACDC still victorious.
Start warming up little Miley; your tween fans don’t want to watch you eat it! As for the rest of us, we think you can spare the embarrassment you’ve already experienced the past year, from your personal Myspace pictures to your Vanity Fair shoot.
Miley Cyrus has another battle on her hands. This time with Selena Gomez, of Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly.”
By now you should know that Miley Cyrus and her back-up dancer, Mandy Jiroux, have become a huge YouTube sensation with their Miley & Mandy Show. But what you don’t know is that this huge sensation is a mimic of the YouTube video first put out by Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato of Disney’s “Camp Rock.”
Here is the video of Miley and Mandy overly impersonating Selena and Demi:
I love Selena and Demi. I actually think I like them more than Miley and Mandy. They remind of cheerleaders who are trying too hard to act cool. I think that is why Miley singled them out. I didn’t think Miley had it in her to be so cruel.
A couple weeks ago Miley Cyrus and Mandy Jiroux where challenged by ACDC (Adam/Chu Dance Crew=Step Up 2: The Streets director Jon M. Chu+Adam Sevani) for a dance off. Check out the video below:And in response to their challenge Miley and Mandy did a music video spoof of Madonna’s ‘4 Minutes‘ song that instantly became a huge hit. Check that one out below.ACDC recently challenged them again to another dance off becoming “The Biggest Youtube Online Dance Off Ever.”In ACDC video, they defintitely brought it and stepped up their game with cameos by big stars like Lindsay Lohan, Adam Sandler, Chris Brown, Diana Ross, America’s Best Dance Crew winners Jabbawokeez, Robert Hoffman (Step Up 2: The Streets), Adam Shankman (Hairspray director/choreographer), Hairspray stars Elijah Kelley, Brittany Snow and Amanda Bynes as well as So You Think You Can Dance contestants (and real-life couple) Lacey Schwimmer and Hok Konishi.
