The Spice Girls decide to call it quites

Posted on 04 February 2008 by tammy

The Spice Girls decide to call it quitesThe Spice Girls thought that coming back for a reunion tour was a good idea, since they were such a big hit like 10 years ago. And it was indeed. The tour ended up becoming one of the most successful reunion tours ever.

Unfortunately, their time together has come to an end, they are breaking up, and canceling the rest of their shows. The group has cited with “family commitments,” but we all know the real reason. Their constant arguing and power struggles.

According to a press report, Mel C and Mel B were the proponents of the break up, telling the other three girls “We’ve had enough.”

A spokesman said: “Sadly the tour needs to come to an end by the end of February due to family and personal commitments for Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria.

“It was announced in June that, as well as the Europe and the US, the girls planned to visit Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina.

“Due to the phenomenal demand for tickets in the UK and the US along with the touring logistics for such a massive production it was not possible to fit everything in.

“As the girls return to normal family life and the kids go back to school they are reviewing all the options. Who knows what the future might bring.”

The Spice Girls said: “We’ve had such an amazing time over the last three months.

“It’s been incredible being back together and seeing our fans again.

“We want to thank everyone who came to see us. It was all so mad the first time round, so we’ve really been able to appreciate it properly this time.

“There have been so many highlights and good times that we know it will be hard to be apart after Toronto.

“Really sorry if we didn’t get to see you this time round. We all have other commitments in our lives now but who knows what will happen next.”

Victoria Beckham seems to btaking this break the easiest. She told press, “I’ve been thinking about this for a long time. I’m not in the music industry any more. I’m in the fashion industry.”

Victoria Beckham looking sexy in suspenders on the cover of Elle magazine

Elle Victoria

Victoria Beckham will be featured on the upcoming January 2008 issue of ELLE magazine which hits newsstands December 11. The 33-year-old self-proclaimed style icon dishes on her design career, her chubby childhood, sleeping naked and meeting husband David Beckham.

On her design career:“Some of the best, coolest stores are taking on dVb,” Beckham says proudly. “A year ago, they would have laughed. Maxfield, Fred Segal, Collette, Harvey Nichols…I’ve spent years banging those bloody doors down. There are so many-and I hate the word-celebrities doing clothing lines and fragrances, and most of them have nothing to do with it.”

On cruel children in her pre-Posh youth:Let’s go back. There’s someone you should meet on the playground at the Church of England school. See that chubby, pimply kid in the duffle coat with the hood cinched up against the cold and flying debris? That’s Victoria Adams, loser, loner, and- unbeknownst to the classmates pelting her with stones-future Spice Girl. “They were literally picking things up out of the puddles and throwing them at me. And I just stood there, on my own. No one was with me. I didn’t have any friends. People would push me around, say they were going to beat me up after school, chase me. It was miserable, my whole schooling, miserable. I tried to be friends with people, but I didn’t fit in. So I kept myself to myself.”

On her talent: “It became very obvious from the star that I was never going to be the best singer or the best dancer or the best actress. I was never a ‘natural.’ You know, I’ve never been that good at anything, to be completely honest.”

On meeting husband David Beckham: Meeting David was “completely love at first sight,” Beckham says. “I remember it so clearly.” The Spice Girls were at their zenith when she flew with Fuller to a Manchester United match. David had yet to wow the world with his way of bending the ball. But he wowed her. She gave him her phone number on her airline ticket stub. “And he told me he went home and wrote the number on so many other things in case he lost it,” she says. “We found the ticket the other day!” They dated for months under the radar. “We drove around in his car and would sit in car parks and talk for hours and hours. We didn’t need to go out for meals. We didn’t need to go out for drinks. We just wanted to be together and get to know each other.”

On her lifestyle: “I work seven days a week. And I so love what I’m doing. I could go shopping all day, which is what a lot of people think that I do. That’s their perception-that I’m a miserable bitch and go shopping all day and boss David about.”

Posh poses nude for charity

Posted on 02 December 2007 by tammy

Posh has recently signed a deal to be the face of Marc Jacobs’ Spring/Summer 2008 collection and he convinced her to pose nude so that the image can be used on a range of his skin cancer charity t-shirts.

According to the Daily Mirror’s sourc, “Victoria loves Marc’s work but she wasn’t entirely comfortable with getting naked. Marc went all-out to persuade her. And when she heard about what a great cause it was she knew she just couldn’t turn it down. The picture she and Marc have chosen is amazing - sexy but tasteful.”

The Spice Girl feels insecure about her looks and feels she looks the oldest out of all the other Spice Girls. The source said:
“Victoria has the biggest insecurities. She is worried about her skin, which is very bad again, and her hair, which is falling out. She feels she has aged. When she saw the pictures from the press conference they did in the summer, she was upset because she thought she looked the oldest out of all of them.”
