Well, that’s what we thought when we came across this video of Melody Thornton on YouTube:

So, we made a few calls to get the scoop and found out this is not behind the scenes footage of a music video.  Melody’s assistant said,

“this is footage from a photo shoot.  She was singing a capella to get into the emotion, so it is very raw; unrehearsed and just on the spot…”

Pretty good for an a capella rendition of Christina Aguilera’s Hurt don’t ya think?

Last night I headed out with Melody Thornton of the Pussycat Dolls to the Blackberry Storm Launch Party at Avalon in Hollywood.., We arrived too late as the event was letting out though she still signed autographs for fans and told all the hundred paparazzi that she planned on throwing a party for Halloween. Top socialite Kim Kardashian was showing off her famous assets - her boobs and bootie - when she performed with the Pussycat Dolls at PURE night club at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas Friday night. She looked gorgeous in her black and white sailor outfit, complete with a sailor cap and fishnet stockings.

Kim’s mom Kris Jenner, as well as her sisters Khloe and Kourtney, were on the sidelines cheering her on.

Although her boyfriend Reggie Bush was unable to see her perform, she told People that she gave him a private viewing via webcam:

“I did iChat him and I had my costume on for his approval. I did my whole dance for him when I was practicing last night. He thought it was so cute. He said, ‘Please videotape it so you can send it to me right after.’”

Kim Kardashian and her brobdingnagian (it’s my daily vocab word today- go wikipedia it if you don’t know or can’t guess what it means!) booty are the latest editions to the Pussycat Lounge in Las Vegas.

Kim will step in as a guest Pussycat Doll on August 15th, for one night only.  Better start making your hotel reservations, guys!  She will join the ranks of other Hollywood hotties that unleashed their inner Pussycat like:

Paris Hilton

Audrina Patridge

Victoria Beckham

and last but not least- Britney Spears & Carmen Electra.

But I think Kim has a lot of new, fun things to bring to the table (or pole in this case).  Like her dance moves.

She is also bringin’ her famous derriere and a beautiful, voluptuous body that makes non-stick thin girls feel normal!  So expect the usual pole dancing, stripping, tiny outfits, and dirty dancing the Dolls always make sure to please their guests with!

If you’re in Vegas that Friday The Pussycat Lounge at Caesar’s Palace is the place to be.  If you don’t have any arrangements to be there already, I would plan accordingly.  And fast.

The CW officially revealed the self-proclaimed, next, hot, girl group on last night’s season finale of “Pussycat Dolls Presents: Girlicious” and I am left with mixed feelings.

When it first aired in February, I was quite disappointed to learn that the Pussycat Dolls were nowhere to be found, but intrigued with the idea of the formation of a new and potentially even more amazing group.

Unfortunately, my heart only dropped again, along with my brain cell count, to find myself spending an hour of my life watching a large group of young girls at each other’s throats over anything and everything (ie: the sharing or should I say NOT sharing of clothes) while fighting for the dubious honor of becoming part of a group called “Girlicious.” Seriously, how much time and creative thought and energy did it take to come up with “Girlicious”–maybe a minute?

Each week I found myself tuning in and wondering to myself, “Oh my god, these girls are soooo annoying. Why am I watching this?”

I mean, did they really just say that? As I roll my eyes and the desire to slap them around a bit subsides, it hits me…

Okay. I am ashamed to admit it, but I LOVED THIS SHOW. Well, at least I loved to hate it. It was very much my guilty pleasure for the last 2-3 months, not quite crack but very close to it. I knew it was bad for me. It was a total time-waster, but god did I do anything for a hit. I even scoured YouTube for ages looking for the missed episodes when my cable box was out so that I could get at least one or two snide remarks in about them being so catty and stupid.

As the final four (the “shocker” as the group was originally supposed to be a trio), Nichole, Tiffanie, Natalie and Chrystina, were announced and I finished watching the final episode, I tried to make sense of this addiction and decided the following:

Yes, Girlicious is a ridiculous name and yes, I hated myself for watching the show, but I was obviously entertained and I’m sure they ate up my hesitant support. Thus, we both got something positive out of this nasty experience—this show and I are in an unhealthy love/hate relationship and it looks like a sick and twisted future is in store.

So you say to me, “The shows over. Now what?” Well, right now? I guess I’d have to say that we’re kind of on a break. Sadly, that probably means that for the next couple of weeks you’ll find me watching their new video over and over again while idealizing the good times we had together. So, it might just be the withdrawal talking, but despite the fact that I find their new video a bit skanky and the lyrics really snobby, the song itself is quite catchy. You be the judge, but be careful…I could be your future.

Victoria Beckham, or as we all know and love her as David Beckham’s lucky wife Posh Spice, has agreed to shed some skin and join the Pussycat Dolls in Vegas. Her performance will only be a one-off show in June, but still, it’s going to be amazing!

Alisa Boushey, the spokeswoman for the Pussycat Dolls, said today:

“Victoria’s been in talks with the Dolls for some time and will be joining them onstage. She would have done it sooner, but it’s a question of her busy schedule. But it will be happening very soon.”

The Pussycat Dolls perform regular shows in Vegas alongside occasional celebrities. The likes of which have included Charlize Theron, Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson, Eva Longoria and Brittany Murphy.

Move over, ladies, Posh belongs at the top of that list!

And I can’t wait to see what her outfit is going to be, I have a feeling she has quite the kinky side.

Last night, The Hills star, Audrina Patridge, hosted an evening with the Pussycat Dolls at PURE Nightclub in Vegas.

You would think that Audrina would want to clean up her act a little and put some clothes on after naked pictures of her spread around the internet. But, nope, apparently she has more to show, if that’s even possible.

PR in the entertainment industry is sooo important… It’s all about who you know and if the media is talking about you. Audrina Patridge’s nude pictures getting released was probably a wish-come-true for Audrina’s publicist. What will come of this new fame? Will her publicist take advantage? Are magazine covers in her near future? Maybe even some small time acting gigs?

Well, for now, we do know that hosting events around the country so people can see their favorite celebrity up close is something that is already in the works. Moments after the nude pics got released, Hollywire was invited to this Audrina Patridge event at PURE in Vegas; just months ago we were told that she couldn’t even get into this club with Lauren Conrad and now they are paying her to show up and host an event with the Pussy Cat Dolls.  Funny how it all works in this industry….

Meow! The Pussycat Dolls are back in the media. This time around they aren’t just hocking music. They have underwear now. Watch out.

Celebrities such as Sean Combs (P. Diddy, Puffy, Diddy… who knows anymore really) Dr. Dre, and Qunicy Jones were in the front row for this “fashion show.” The group’s founder Robin Antin designed the collection. If anyone watched the Bravo TV show “Blow Out” with Jonathan Antin…. she’s his sister. The show ended with a performance by the Pussycat dolls performing “Don’t Cha.”

Robin Antin is a dancer/choreographer by trade. This is painfully obvious by what she sent down the runway. When I heard that there was a Pussycat Doll lingerie line, I was excited to see something new and interesting since the group’s burlesque costumes are so creative, colorful, and sexy. Nope. I was disapointed. I guess Robin Antin was going for “everyday woman wearable.” But then, you’re just competing with Victoria’s Secret. Correct me if I’m wrong, but nothing here strikes me as inventive or new. Sean Combs was reportedly slouched over in his chair, bored, typing away on his Blackberry. That’s bad when mostly naked girls are walking right in front of you and the outfits are that bad you don’t bother to look up. Robin Antin needs to stick to dancing. She is definately not a dancer/choreographer/fashion designer. Stop it. Just be glad you’re really good at dancing… or something. Just stop making this more Pussycat Doll Lingerie. We’ve already seen it.
