Things just don’t seem like they are going Jessica Simpson’s way these days. Her younger sister is getting married this weekend, is probably pregnant (even though Ashlee denies it), and now it looks like her studly quarterback, Tony Romo, may have dumped her. But turn that frown upside down, Jess!

If I was going through all that it’s safe to say I might throw back a few to forget my problems. And Apparently Jess did just that.

Us Weekly is reporting that the 27-year-old singer began tossing back cocktails Saturday at 4pm with pal CaCee Cobb and Cobb’s boyfriend Donald Faison (Clueless… Scrubs… yum!) at L.A.’s Mexicali Cocina Cantina.

After binge drinking for four hours, Jessica was so out of it that she had to leave her Range Rover parked in the restaurant’s parking lot and call her mom Tina for a ride home.

Aww, that so reminds me of high school.

Did I mention CaCee Cobb threw up under the table? Classy.

Now The Dallas Morning News is reporting that the rumors that Simpson and Romo have split are, indeed, true. Staff writer Alan Peppard claims “two people close to Tony and Jess have told me that the glam couple is over, kaput, splitsville, put a fork in it,” although he refuses to name names.

It’s hard to tell if this is legit seeing that neither Jessica or Tony have no confirmed the break up and multiple entertainment news shows are telling the opposite story. Extra and E! News are reporting that the rumors of the break up are false.

Um… but what about when Tony was in Chicago last Saturday with his boys and he told all them, “Me and Jessica are done.”

Seems pretty clear to me. I guess we will just have to wait and see who talks first!

Engagement rumors have been spreading around about two celeb couples: Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel & Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo. Whether any of them are true, I don’t know.

According to some reports, Justin Timberlake is planning to propose to his actress girlfriend, Jessica Biel. The rumor was sparked after he was spotted shopping for engagement rings at Tiffany and Co.

“An onlooker” said: “Justin was really taking his time looking round the rings. He made the staff get a couple out of the cabinets so he could properly look at them.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if this rumor was true. Justin seems to get serious with his girlfriends fast. First Brit, Cameron, and now Jessica. I think the boy is just itching to get married.

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are also rumored to be getting engaged soon.

According to Tony’s close friend Michael Starr, he told Us Weekly magazine: “I think they are going to get married.”

Also, one of Tony’s ex’s, One Tree Hill star, Sophia Bush said: “I think they could go the distance. They’re perfect for each other. They’re both funny and wonderful and kind. I’m really rooting for them.”

Jessica’s ex-husband, Nick Lachey, was asked what he thought about the rumors, he said: “I wish her nothing but happiness. If she has found that then good for her.”

However, a friend close to the couples says that this rumor is a publicity stunt to promote her up coming country album.

The pal told America’s OK! magazine: “I think it’s a press stunt. She always leaks information about her faux love life when she’s desperate to get her face on magazine covers!”

Insiders are whispering that Jessica Simpson’s manager dad, Joe, is the mastermind behind his daughter’s “romance” with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo - and their sudden, very public relationship may just be the setup for an attention-grabbing Super Bowl commercial!

“It seems that Joe set them up to make sure Jess got good publicity,” an insider tells Star. “She’s got a new country album coming out, but her movie career is stalled, so she’s doing what her dad tells her will be good for her image and to keep her name in the papers…”

[Jessica and Tony Romo are] reportedly in talks to Pizza Hut to do a special commercial that will air during the Super Bowl in February. And the insider tells Star that Joe Simpson even offered Tony, 27, a small role in his daughter’s next movie.

“He told Tony that it would be a good opportunity for both of them PR-wise,” says another source. “It isn’t hard for them to look like the perfect couple - they’re like a real life Ken and Barbie.”

I really don’t know if this rumor is true being that dating should have probably than started somewhere closer to Jessica’s album release date, not while the album is still in progress. They seem to really like each other. I hope it all works out.

Since Jessica started dating Tony Romo, she has become an avid fan, goes to all the games wearing his jersey and cheers him on.

All though this sounds like a sweet and loving girlfriend, apparently she has brought bad luck with her. It seems as though Tony Romo is performing the worst game of his career. And now the team is urging Jess to stay home and watch the game.

Terrell Owens, a star player, says this about Simpson:

“Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite in this locker room or in Texas Stadium. I think with everything that has happened, and obviously the way Tony played and the comparison between her and Carrie Underwood, I think a lot of people feel like she’s probably taking his focus away.

Other than that, she was at the top of my list until last week.

I’ve got a message for her when we make the playoffs. Just stay tuned.”

It was recently revealed Jessica was set up on a date with Tony by her dad Joe, after he realised the pair were perfect for each other.

A source said: “Joe and Tony have been friendly for a while. Joe is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, and Tony has always had a crush on her - he even said on his website about a year ago that it was his dream to date her.

“Jessica has been in Nashville and Dallas recording her new country album. When Tony found out, he called Joe and said, ‘I know she’s not dating anyone right now, can I take her out for a drink at least?

“Jessica said it was OK for Joe to give Tony her number and they hit it off. They’ve been dating for a couple of weeks now, and Jessica is so happy. She’s been texting everyone about how great he is.”

Lets see if Joe’s approval will make this relationship last.
