MTV has unleashed a new trailer for the fourth season of their hit reality show The Hills. The trailer, which can be seen here, features tears, heart-to-hearts, and a revelation that someone makes it to the big house! But lets break the trailer down, shall we?

In this season, Lauren Conrad says goodbye to dating man-sluts like Jason Wahler and Brody Jenner behind for the hotter and suaver man-candy, Doug Reinhardt. Fun fact: he’s the brother of Casey Reinhardt of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County Season 2! Because Lauren is tabloid fodder, we already know she and Doug don’t make it. Let’s at least hope she made good use of him and didn’t leave the bedroom too often;)

Yeah, she knows she hit it. But hopefully he wasn’t one of the reasons she decided to join this campaign. We for sure know Jason is one of those reasons.

Also shopping in the romance department is Whitney Port. In New York, she finds several pieces of man to devour. And boy, does she deserve it.Throughout the series, Ms. Port has had the least man-action of the whole slutty cast. Girl works hard at her job and embarrasses herself on national television - she definitely deserves some time for love.

Heidi Montag became famous through her association with Lauren. Spencer caught on and became famous by leaching off of Montag’s sort-of-fame. Then he got his sister a cut of the deal and pulled her in to the show. Now one of Heidi’s sisters is trying to grab some air time of her own. The producers should have cut Speidi out by season three, if you ask me. They should at least stop people from piggy-backing off the Speidi fame.

Brody Jenner is not done with his time on The Hills. He still has to muster up more drama before he stars his Bromance reality show. Jenner is speaking up on his disapproval of the She-Pratt friendship. And one thing the show caught that we didn’t - Brody goes to jail for some fist fight action! That’s actually somewhat of a shocker despite all his douche-yness.

Brody is correct in warning Lauren of the friendship. It is revealed that Stephanie Pratt makes the moves on Doug Reindhart! Really, Doug? You’re going to fall for that crap? Do you know watch The Hills at all? MTV reality has pretty much been revolving around you for the past couple of years. And as for that other Pratt girl… well I just don’t understand why she strives to be her brother.

Lo and Audrina are at it again. With Audrina living in the guest house, she and Conrad have started drifting apart. Audrina has taken responsibility for her nude pics, but for some reason is putting the blame on Ms. “Lo” Bosworth.

And finally, the last shots of the trailer feature a conversation between Lauren and Audrina and their drifting apart. However, it seems Lauren forgot what scene she was doing that day and didn’t put on her waterproof mascara! What a mess! Your crying scenes were so excellently executed before! Don’t get careless LC, this show is pretty important! Kathy Griffin is already after you, we don’t need fans of the show upset too!

Now, if I know The Hills at all, it’s that they pretty much give everything away in the previews. I believe this trailer is pretty much a summary of the whole season and will be able to sum up all the drama of the show at season’s end. Lets hope the crew caught the drama behind the scenes at the Rolling Stone photoshoot, and they’re saving all that good stuff for the show.

The new season starts August 18th, only on MTV. I’m seriously hoping there will also be a new season of the mini series, Dove Fresh Takes starring Alicia Keys. Those little shows made The Hills even more enjoyable.

I don’t know about you, but being stuck in an air-conditioned bedroom night after night leaves me missing my old TV shows. Call me crazy, but “I Survived a Japanese Game Show” is just not cutting it for me. Here are some juicy details to keep us looking forward to the Fall 2008 TV schedule.

Brenda returns to 90210

Shannen Doherty will return to her old role as the now-grown Brenda Walsh. She will be joining Jennie Garth and possibly even Tori Spelling in this reprise. All these girls together on the same set? There’s sure to be drama.

No more Izzy?

Recently, Katherine Heigl pulled out of this year’s Emmy’s contention, stating that she wasn’t given a challenging enough role last season (I don’t disagree, anyone see the episode where she gave a deer CPR?). Now, there is talk that she may be killed off the show, possibly from a brain tumor. This is purely rumored, but after Isiah Washington left the show so abruptly after his “f-word”: stint, I don’t doubt it. Another possibility is that the writers took what she said to heart and she will not die, but still be diagnosed with a tumor on the show. Stay tuned …

“Friends” meets “Scrubs” 

Courtney Cox has been signed on to join the cast of “Scrubs” for at least three episodes, marking its move from NBC to ABC. We hope it fares better than her last show, “Dirt”, which aired on FX last season. The pilot was nixed after barely a season. Although I can’t imagine a “Scrubs” episode without JD, Zach Braff’s character. Zach has been rumored to have left the show, although he may return as a guest star for a couple of episodes.  We’ll keep you posted on what else we hear …

90210 executive producer, Gabe Sachs, has confirmed, “Shannon Doherty will be returning to 90210.”

Doherty will reprise her role as Brenda Walsh, who returns to West Beverly High School as a visiting drama teacher.

Shannon joins 90210 originals Jennie Garth, who will return as West Beverly counselor Kelly Taylor, and Tori Spelling, who will reprise her role as Donna Martin in future episodes.

Do you think that Shannon and Jennie will be able to get along this time? I hope not… it will give me some good gossip to write about.

Today Amy Poehler has confirmed to The Associated Press that she’ll be joining The Office spin-off, which will eventually take her to primetime and retire from Saturday Night Live.  Well, actually, it’s not a spin-off at all, but humor me…

Poehler has been a part of the SNL cast since 2001, and in the past years she has served up laughs as a co-anchor with Tina Fey and currently Seth Meyers on “Weekend Update.”

But don’t expect her to jump ship just yet.  A few days ago she also confirmed to Variety.com that she will be back for the 2008- 2009 season of SNL.

Besides SNL, Poehler has been a numerous films- from the more recent Baby Mama to comedy classics like Wet Hot American Summer.  And there are a slew of other movies and television appearances in between those two.

Poehler told The Associated Press that:

“I can kind of confirm that I will be working in some capacity on that show.  I don’t really have any other details yet.”

Even though she isn’t confirming any deets right now, it is being rumored that she is expected to star in the new show.  The hush hush series will air on NBC on Thursdays after The Office starting in the Fall.

So far this summer, there has been many songs making their way to number one on the charts.  The most original I would say being Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl.”

Now in her song, she talks about kissing a girl and liking it. But my question is: does art imitate life, or does life imitate art?

It sounds like Katy Perry wants the latter to be reality next month.

That’s when Perry is set to appear along with host Miley Cyrus at the Teen Choice Awards.

Katy may ruffle some feathers with her dream of how the night will go!  

“Maybe we’ll have another Britney-Madonna moment on stage.  How hilarious would that be?  Although I don’t think it would help her career.  However, it would definitely help mine!”

With the rate Miley is going I wouldn’t put it past her.

This is Miley’s first solo hosting gig.  Last year at the awards she won two surfboards and is up for double that amount this year.

But be sure to tune in Monday, August 4th on FOX to watch the winners be crowned…and maybe even witness a new Miley scandal live on TV!

Who would have thought that a guy working as a Disney Imagineer would star in a television show on HGTV?

But who would have thought up his next career jump:

Former host of HGTV’s Design on a Dime, Lee Snijders, has started his own porn company!

This interesting decision is being reported by TMZ, and also mentions that Snijders can be seen “manning the camera” in a few of the movies his company has already made.

This leads me to wonder if his girlfriend had anything to do with his recent career move.  He is dating Jett Angel, porn star and “model.”  She may have been the only girlfriend ever in history to possibly encourage her boyfriend to make this risque jump to a new…um…career….

I mean, how can a guy who worked for Disney…then HGTV, now be making porn?  Those are like two of the most wholesome companies ever!  Only in America, I guess.

Well, Lee, best of luck to you in all of your future endeavors (because we all know this one won’t last)!

Spoiler alert: For those of you who did not catch the season finale of “A Shot at Love 2″ with Tila Tequila last night on MTV, two things:

1) Holy crap!

2) Get ready for “A Shot at Love 3!”

Down to the last two contestants, male love interest Bo Kunkle and former Playboy model Kristy Morgan, Tila shot down Bo after he confessed his love for her and then preceded to have her key, and her heart, turned down by Kristy who rejected the Internet-celeb-turned-MTV-darling saying, “If I take this key, I’m not being true.” Kristy made the decision in light of her lack of relationship experience with women.

Only minutes later Tila let her anger out in a heated Myspace blog entry:

“Can’t wait for this drama to pass.
Oh the joy…..—- you. My —.
Live a lie.
Tell my mind.
Over soon. I can’t deny.
You will all soon see, the truth in my eyes.
Smile on my face, the loving embrace….but instead I’ll punch you in the face.
For a long time coming….I let you touch me….now that it’s over —–….You better start running.
Pent up inside….telling these lies….this has gone too far…..the world will soon die.”

Considering the high ratings MTV has received for both installments of the dating show, the first one resulting in a short-lasting relationship between Tila and season 1 winner Bobby, they are probably very pleased to see the big potential for a third season.

I thought hell would freeze over before Tyra Banks would win any kind of award for her talk show. Well, at least any positive ones.

Tyra won a Daytime Emmy for ‘Outstanding Informative Talk Show,’ beating out Dr. Phil. Yes, you read that right. “Outstanding” AND “Informative.”

So, this HAS to back my theory that the show is supported by dirty, lonely old men who are A) collecting unemployment, or B) work the night shift at AM/PM.

After, of course, first thanking God, she made a shot-out to her “mentor,” Oprah.

“I want to thank Oprah Winfrey for her inspiration,” Tyra said. “She is the queen and will always be the queen.”

Nice try, Tyra, but modesty is not your strong suit. Suffice to say, she will not be letting her viewers, or America for that matter, forget this moment.

Janet Jackson is developing a music competition reality show on MTV that is scheduled to launch this fall that will showcase the pop icon as a mentor while a group of singers and singers compete for an undisclosed prize.

The show will be shot in the next few months, before Janet goes off on her world tour and will air on September 10.

“It’s really about finding who’s the next Janet Jackson or Justin Timberlake or Usher,” said exec producer Dave Broome. “And we’ll find it from a pool of people who you wouldn’t typically find it from. We’ll go to YMCAs, church groups, local community centers and try to cast the show.”

Everyone knows that summertime is meant to be relaxing… and what could be more relaxing then lying down on a couch in an air-conditioned room with food in one hand and a remote in the other? Now, that’s what I’m talking about–maximum pleasure and minimal energy exertion. I know most people enjoy slowly baking in the summer heat at the beach, but I personally prefer my skin cancer-free. So this summer, as my body gorges on chips and burgers, my eyes will be feasting on the following returning shows:

American Gladiators

Premiered Monday, May 12, 8PM ET, NBC

The world is all about retro trends and television is no different. Born in the early 90s, this show came back last year to the excitement of old and new fans. This season, Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali return to host as amateur athletes and professional “gladiators” duke it out.

The Bachelorette

Premiered Wednesday, May 19, 9PM ET, ABC

DeAnna Pappas is being given a second chance at love. Though left heartbroken by season 11 ‘Bachelor,’ Brad Womack, DeAnna did not lose her faith and the fact that the first Bachelorette, Trista, is still married-with-a-baby to her final-rose pick, Ryan, looks like a good sign. Fingers crossed!

So You Think You Can Dance

Premiered Thursday, May 22, 8PM ET, FOX (airing performances on Wednesdays at 8PM ET and results on Thursdays at 8PM ET)

One of my personal favs, this Emmy-winning hit is back and looking for the next best dancer out there. It’s all about versatility on SYTYCD show as the dancers are pushed to do everything from broadway to contemporary and hip-hop styles. Outside of the amazing choreography performed, the judges always manage to bring a bit of comic relief amidst the tough criticism. Oh, how I wish I had the skills to be on Mary Murphy’s hot tamale train. Take a look at this amazing Mia Michael’s piece from the first episode!

The Mole

Twelve players are thrown together to complete a number of physical and mental challenges to build up the cash prize of the show, BUT one of them is out to sabotage the whole thing—“the Mole.” Can you figure out who the culprit is?

Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew

Premiered June 7, 10PM ET, MTV (airing Thursdays at 10PM ET)

This show is yet another favorite of mine. What can I say? I love dance shows. In this show, dance crews from across the nation compete with their own choreography for the title of America’s Best Dance Crew. Last season’s top three (actually only two of them if you ask me) really set the bar for a madly competitive season two. Will these new teams be able to bring it? Here’s a taste of what one team from the South had brought.

Weeds

Premiered Monday, June 16, 10PM ET, Showtime

Ok, this show is now officially one of my favorite shows. I just spent the last two days watching all three seasons in order to watch the upcoming fourth and I just have to say one thing—Romany Malco, or Conrad as many may know him, is soooo drool-worthy and I’m truly sad that they have downgraded him from series regular to recurring player!! Let’s hope that the fourth season will be just as interesting and funny. As of yet, the show returns to a fire still raging in Majestic and pot-dealing suburban mother Nancy Botwin continues to make her life more difficult. What crazy things will she get into this time?

Shear Genius

Premieres Wednesday, June 25, 10PM ET, Bravo

As a risk taker when it comes to hairstyles, I also totally love this show and it seems like I’m not the only one. Back for its second season, “Shear Genius” gives twelve stylists the chance to do some pretty left of center stuff including, but not limited to, cutting hair blindfolded and styling with food.

Big Brother

Premieres Sunday, July 13, 8PM ET, CBS

Think MTV’s Real World with a large cash prize. We all know that means right? Lots of scheming and a tons more drama, which also means there will be plenty to watch, especially since the show will be airing hour-long episodes three times a week. “Big Brother” is back for its tenth season and I am sure we are all looking forward to see what the new roomies will be up.

Project Runway

Premieres Tuesday, July 16, 9PM, Bravo

It has only been a short while since Christian Siriano was named the show’s youngest and fiercest (and most entertaining) winner ever, but clearly, the public can’t get enough. Sadly though, this will also be the series’ last season on Bravo, as it will be moving over to Lifetime in the fall. Oh, Bravo, what were you thinking? No matter, I am sure the show will continue to dole out the hottest designers and outfits around.

How exciting?! Looks like my summer is going to be packed full. Oh the joys of being a couch potato.
