This is a round-up all the plot twists in M. Night Shyamalan’s movies.

Or is it???

M. Night became a household name back in 1999, when The Sixth Sense’s twist ending proved so sensational that it earned the movie a Best Picture nod at the Oscars and spawned countless copycat thrillers, each trying to one-up the last (with diminishing returns).

But no one has tried to rip off The Sixth Sense more than M. Night himself, who has constantly had a “gotcha!” somewhere in his movies ever since. For a while, this was a neat trick… but then it got to the point where the only possible plot twist we wouldn’t see coming in an M. Night movie was no plot twist at all.

In honor of the Will Smith and Jaden Smith-starring After Earth, hitting theaters today, here are all of M. Night Shyamalan’s plot twists, ranked from mind-blowing to face-palming.

It’s Memorial Day, and you know what that means ― poolside barbecues!

Wait, wait… but aren’t we supposed to remember something else on Memorial Day? You know… besides how much we love turkey burgers and sunshine?

Occasionally (but very rarely), a sequel is better than the original. We’re hoping that’s the case with RED 2, the follow-up to 2010’s action-comedy about a group of “Retired, Extremely Dangerous” assassins who get pulled back into the madness once more.

Naturally, this sequel doesn’t find Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, and John Malkovich hanging out in Arizona drinking iced teas and playing pinochle, like most retirees. They get pulled out of retirement yet again ― and this time, they’re joined by Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Can you guess where The Haunting in Connecticut 2 takes place? Confusing hint: it’s not in Connecticut. That’s because the movie’s full title is The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia, and it takes place in Georgia because it has no real connection to the first Haunting in Connecticut, anyway.

Originally titled (more sensibly) The Haunting in Georgia, the studio decided that wasn’t quite enough of a cash grab and decided upon a name that definitely takes the cake for one of the worst movie titles ever. But it’s far from the first sequel to offend us with its stupidity. From terrible puns to excessive punctuation to titles that just flat-out lie to us, here are the 20 worst sequel titles of all time.
