During her first week of motherhood, Hilary Duff thought she could be Supermom -- she could take care of her son Luca Cruz and still have time for herself, her career, and her other responsibilities. But what she didn't realize is that you can't do much of anything if you don't sleep!

"The first week I was like, 'I’m doing this, I’m good.I can not sleep, I can do this.' I don’t know where you get that energy from," Hilary told People. "Then it hits you — the fatigue."

So what trick has she learned to get back on track?

It looks like motherhood is agreeing with Hilary Duff! Just eight days after giving birth to her son Luca Cruz, the new mommy treated herself to some "me time" and got her hair done at salon Nine Zero One in L.A. yesterday.

After her appointment, she tweeted, "Just got my hair did... I'm feelin' fresh! Heading back home to hang with munchkin," and included a picture of her freshly-coiffed locks.
