    Three and a half years ago the unthinkable happened to Jennifer Hudson, her mother, brother and nephew were murdered by her then brother-in-law, William Balfour.

    William shot Jennifer's mother Darnell Donerson, 57, her brother, Jason Hudson, 29 before and her nephew 7-year-old Julian King.

    Well, justice has prevailed in this case, as William has been found guilty and now faces a sentence of life in prison.

    Jennifer Hudson hasn’t spoken out about the tragic loss of her family in 2008 – until now. The singer spoke to Ebony magazine about the murder of her mother, brother, and nephew that horrible night and gives credit to fiancé David Otunga for saving her life.

    Otunga, a WWE wrestler, wanted Hudson to visit him down in Florida for an event that night. After finally being convinced, she went down to see him.
