Is Jennifer Love Hewitt the X Factor that the show has been looking for?

After Britney Spears and L.A. Reid departed the judges table after this past season, Simon Cowell is reportedly hoping that Jennifer will join him and Demi Lovato as a judge on the Fox reality competition show. A source has confirmed to Us Weekly that "Simon is very interested" in hiring her.

Britney Spears may not have gotten rave reviews for her brief time on The X Factor, but there's one person who is sorry to see her go: fellow judge Demi Lovato.

While Britney and L.A. Reid are not returning for Season Three, Demi said she will come back if Simon Cowell asks her. "I'm focusing on my music this year, so it's going to be a lot of touring, a lot of promoting of my album, but I would love to," she said.

It's still unclear whether Britney Spears will be returning for another season of judging duties on The X Factor, but there's one person who definitely won't be coming back.
