Well, here’s one way to market a movie...

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will unveil his writing and directorial debut, Don Jon, on the world in October. In anticipation of the release of the first official trailer today, Joseph created an all-new Twitter account for the character he plays, Don Jon ― which goes so far as to call him that “p*ssy ass kid from 30 rock.”

Not a whole lot of stars would create a fake Twitter account just to insult themselves to promote a movie. But most stars aren’t Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Robert Downey Jr. isn’t hurting for cash these days as the star of both of the biggest cinematic opening weekends ever, The Avengers and now Iron Man 3.

“The audience drives the success of the movies,” he told Jimmy Kimmel on last night’s talk show appearance. But these days, with Veronica Mars and Zach Braff turning to Kickstarter, audiences are also funding movies as well!

Could Iron Man 4 be next to go down this route? Robert Downey Jr. seems to think so…

Will Ferrell and Taylor Swift now have something in common.

Last night's MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Rebel Wilson, had plenty of over-the-top moments, but the most bizarre stunt of the evening went to Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza. She pulled a Kanye while Will was receiving his Comedic Genius trophy and bumrushed the stage, even attempting to rip the golden popcorn statue out of his hands! MTV confirmed that the stunt was not planned and producers asked her to leave afterwards.

Luckily, the rest of the trophy-giving went off without a hitch. Check out the full list of winners after the jump!

Barack Obama seems universally loved by the celebrity set, but that doesn't mean they agree with everything he does.

Rap mogul Russell Simmons helped assemble an army of celebrities and civil rights leaders to present a letter yesterday to the POTUS. More than 100 celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Will Smith, Nicki Minaj and Scarlett Johansson signed the letter, which urges criminal justice reform and an altering of U.S. drug policies.

Hollywood is rejoicing after the "Hollywood Hacker" (a.k.a. Christopher Chaney) was handed a harsh prison sentence.

Between November 2010 and October 2011, Chris accessed the personal email accounts of 50 people in the entertainment industry, including Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and Christina Aguilera, and posted their revealing photos and other personal information on the internet. Yesterday, a federal judge sentenced him to 10 years in prison. "It's hard to fathom the mindset of a person who would accomplish all of this," said U.S. District Judge S. James Otero, according to ABC News. "These types of crimes are as pernicious and serious as physical stalking."
