Angelina Jolie is in good company.

In an OpEd piece for The New York Times, the actress bravely revealed that she underwent a double mastectomy. Angelina said her doctors found she had a faulty gene which increased her risk of breast and ovarian cancer, so she made the decision as a preventative measure. Since the procedure, her chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to 5 percent.

"Once I knew this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and minimize the risk as much as I could... the decision to have a mastectomy was not easy. But it is one I am very happy I made," she wrote.

Less than two weeks into the new year, we officially have our first celebrity feud of 2013!
