Sometimes I think that Hollywood stars and their families are so normal- we see them eating at restaurants together, going shopping, going to the movies, you know… normal stuff.  But then there are families like the O’Neal’s, who do um… other… things together.

Ryan O’Neal, most famous for his relationship with Farrah Fawcett, and his son Redmond were arrested Wednesday morning after authorities said they found drugs at the actor’s Malibu home during a routine probation check.

It was during this surprise compliance check at the O’Neal home where the substances in question were found around 5:30 a.m. today.  The pair were then arrested at 7:30 a.m. according to Steve Whitmore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Whitmore said in addition to drugs that deputies suspect belong to Redmond O’Neal, deputies also found narcotics in Ryan O’Neal’s living area.  Both remain in custody on $10,000 bail and could be charged with felony possession of narcotics.

Father and son have both been arrested before.  But let’s not forgot about Ryan O’Neal’s other child and her run-ins with the law.  Tatum O’Neal was arrested earlier this year after getting busted for buying drugs in New York.  Oh, what a family affair!

I don’t know about you but I haven’t seen a family this messed up…ever!  I don’t even think the Lohans come close, even with a ten foot pole.  It’s sad to see a family live out their problems in the public eye like this.  It seems like Tatum has learned from her mistakes and got help, I just hope the rest of her family does the same.
