Baby Stilettos are the Newest Controversial Fashion Trend

A brand of stilettos for babies, named Heelarious, has become the latest controversial fashion trend.

Baby-Stilettos

The "tiny soft baby shoes with soft heels for infants up to 6 months" were created by Britta Bacon and Hayden Porter. Bacon said that,
I've always been a shoe freak and I thought, 'OMG, what if you could take a baby to a party wearing high heels? It would be hilarious!' The shoes are just a fun, novelty, dress up item.

Although many think that the shoes are just to cute, others believe they are hideous. Some people believe that putting high heels on a baby is perverted and will rob them of their innocence. Hayden Porter responded with, " A 3-month old baby has no idea she's wearing high heels."

I don't see any real difference between the Heelarious shoes and Disney dress up shoes, but I guess every new fashion is going to receive some form of criticism. Just look at the negativity that Beyonce's new fashion line, Dereon Girls, received.

I think that the baby stilettos are very cute and I can't wait for them to come out with toddlers sizes. The shoes will go on sell starting next week at the Doll Factory in Toronto and will cost $39.95 a pair.

So what do you think, are they hilarious or hideous?

Hideous--yuck...I like the prints, but ballet flats would've been cuter than stilettos!

Make up, earrings, nail polish, fake tan, sexy underwear and now high heals for children! We complain about school children growing up too young, "babies having babies", do you wonder why? Let them enjoy their childhood, it doesn't last long!

i think this is a very sad way of making money, my eldest daughter is 10 and i still wont let her wear heels.
never mind letting kids be kids, lat babies be babies, this may even damage them physically, women find it hard enough wearing these ridiculous shoes!!

    @snumpy
How can a soft heel on a child that can't walk hurt them? I am shocked at peoples comments. Like you have never seen a child walking around in mommies heels playing dress up. They are just a novelty item.

We are 15 year old school girls from Scotland and we think they look stupid and it's sick. They could break an ankle!

    Xo.

call your self a smarty, how often do you actually see parents letting their kids go out in these dress up shoes. in my (and so many others) opinion its just another fad for parents who are so obviously screaming out "look at me i need attention!!"

Maybe if my mom had put me in this since almost birth I'd be able to walk in heels...but now I'm in high school and all my girlfriends tease me cuz i just can't walk in heels at all... i think it's a good idea to train them young

stupid comments of those who dont understand the post.
"SOFT HEELS" they are for infants who dont walk. they are just novelty items.
sheesh... closed minded people are just easy to comment on any thing thats a change to what they got used to.
its nice they came up so that those who want to use them on their child can do so and to those who dont like it wont.

i personally dont like it but its nice that we have it coming. it creates more variety in life.
