Fashionable Earth Keeps All Clothes In Style
Just yesterday, the Jaclynsphere caught up with two of the founders from www.fashionableearth.org, a non-profit whose core focus is to reduce, reuse, restyle. Fashionable Earth does this by holding clothing swaps and repurposing old clothes thus reducing the amount of clothing that ends up in landfills. Vintage, second hand and clothes from last season never looked so good.

Two of Fashionable Earth's day to day operators, Tammy Kazazi and Neda Rouhani, exhibit that fashion can stay in style beyond the runway's and racks with the right mind. Both women love exploring family members closets, thrift stores and farmers markets for classic cuts made from less compromised fabrics.

As I learned yesterday, recreating a piece can be as simple as adding new buttons, making a few snips here and there or even swapping what may no longer be useful to you in exchange for something else you can incorporate into your wardrobe.
Fashionable Earth has a global mission. Whether you are following the trends in Milan, Paris, NYC, Miami or their home base of Los Angeles, you too can become involved, repurpose clothes, set new styles and save our landfills from excess materials that are harmful to our Earth. If you would like to host a clothing swap or get more info on becoming an "eco-nista", visit www.fashionableearth.org or email info@fashionable.earth.org
*Fun fact-celebs that love second hand, vintage clothes include Julia Roberts, Winona Ryder, Drew Barrymore and Chloe Sevigny.
