Lily Allen unveiled her new jewelry line on Monday at London’s Claridges Hotel.
The collection is said to be comprised of nine different styles, including coins, medallions, flowers, traffic signs, acid faces, girl charms, fruit, animals and poodles created for fans aged 14 to 40. The range is priced between £30 ($60) and £100 ($100).

On being asked to be a jewelry designer:
“I was so excited when I was asked to design a jewelery collection. I was in New York and literally went straight out to a bookshop and bought about 40 reference books, on everything from antique jewelery to modern-day bling.”
On where her design ideas came from:
“All of the designs stem from anything whether it’s the surroundings of places I’ve been to around the world, objects I’ve seen…anything. The list could go on forever.”
“My grandmother was a proper gypsy, and I have inherited quite a lot of her pieces. We took the idea of coins as the basis and then updated them by putting moons and stars on the faces.”
On her different collection range:
“I had no idea about how to design a coherent collection so I asked my old friend, jewelery designer Solange Azagury-Partridge, what to do. I have always loved her stuff. She told me to design different ranges within the collection.”
“Firstly there’s the coin collection, which is a nod to my gypsy past. I also wanted to do something with fruit and animals, and of course, smiley faces to match my body tattoo.”
Her favorite piece:
“I do love the animals …The pandas are fantastic.”
