Nicole Richie's NEW Maternity Collection

Nicole Richie sure has been busy since she has been preggers.

She has a jewelry line, she has it in line to design some shoes, and now has designed a collection for the maternity line, A Pea in the Pod.

Richie says, "A Pea in the Pod is such a well known company for pregnant women.  They carry great lines, and so when they asked me to create a line for them I was really excited and eager to do it."

Nicole is expecting her second child this month (with her Partner Joel Madden), so she really knows what her customer is looking for, adding "You really feel like you have to change your whole wardrobe [when pregnant].  And that's the last thing a woman wants to go through.  So I really tried to make this line to get women excited about wearing clothes."

Nicole is basically the pin-up girl for boho chic, so you can expect peasant tops, maxi dresses, and braided details all tailored to accentuate a prego woman's body, with tank tops at $48 and dresses at $148. Richie's collection hits stores Friday and she adds, "It feels great to see everything come to life. It's the best feeling in the world to have your visions and dreams come together.  I'm excited for people to see them.  I just hope that people like it."
