Selena Gomez is taking notes from young Hollywood and launching her own clothing line.  Pop Crunch says that Selena’s clothes will feature boho dresses, floral printed tops, jeans, skirts, jackets, and even a few accessories, like hats and scarves.  Sounds fierce boring!

Says Selena: “With my line, I really want to give the customer options on how they can put their own looks together,” Selena told Woman’s Wear Daily Thursday. “I want the pieces that can be easy to dress up or down, and the fabrics being eco-friendly and organic are super important. Also, the tags will all have some of my inspirational quotes on them. I’m just looking to send a good message.”

Selena is working with Generra designer Tom Melillo and Sandra Campos.  Campos has spent about 20 years on the business end of the industry at brands such as Nautica and Polo Ralph Lauren.  The veteran fashionistas had only nice things to say about Selena’s line.

“She has such a good sense of what she likes and what she doesn’t like,” said Melillo, who is the creative director for the Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez line. “It was surprising as I’ve never worked with someone so young, and never really expected her to be that smart. She has a desire to be involved, and nothing is sent out there without her approval. It’s nice to see her have this genuine interest.”

I love that she is going eco-friendly, more designers need to do that.  Be part of the solution!

I know that I am usually so negative when a celebrity comes out with a clothing line.  Because most of the time its pure crap, but given that Ms.Gomez actually has some pretty good taste when it comes to fashion, Ima go ahead and let her finish before I rip it apart.  Plus Selena is such a sweet heart, I want to give her a chance.  Its not Lindsay Lohan designing, who is all kinds of crazy.  With her clothes and shenanigans!
