Top Ways to Beat the Recession--Hollywood Style!
Money blues got you down? Well, friends, take heart, because there are a few tricks from Hollywoodland that will help you conserve your money while still letting you live like a star.
Give old threads new life!

Don't be afraid to wear the same outfit twice, because if the posh British Queen of Style herself, Vicky B., can get away with reusing old styles, so can you!
Or better yet, share clothes with friends the same size! Our favorite share-pair is probably stick-thin Agyness Deyn and a very pregnant M.I.A. (JK about them actually sharing the same outfit--it's just a coincidence...I think). But remember: everything comes back in style sooner or later, and there are always ways to make old things look new--for example, Agyness uses funky accessories to groove up her outfit, and you know that the next time M.I.A. wears that dress, it will look way different.
Attend a public school!
You might be thinking, "How's this related to anything Hollywood?" Well, for one thing, if you go to pretty much any public school in L.A., you are basically next door to Hollywood. But more than that, you might even have the opportunity to swap homework tips with stars.
Yes, that's right; many stars have attended public schools, such as "Pineapple Express" actor James Franco, who graduated in 2008 from UCLA, and who will return to give to give the commencement speech at this year's UCLA graduation (go class of 2009!).
And there's plenty more:
- Lucy Liu attended the University of Michigan
- Queen Latifah attended Borough of Manhattan Community College (before she became Queen)
- Richard Gere went to University of Massachusetts (and on a gymnastics scholarship!)
- Matthew McConaughey perused law at the University of Texas.
Public schools are a great way to save money, and apparently help you get on fast-track to stardom.
