Tysa: From Malibu to Planet Blue… A-listers stay in style with this local LA designer

Tysa Wright knows a thing or two about style. After all, the fashion designer has seen some of her pieces on Hollywood A-listers like Nicole Richie (who recently planted trees for local LA schools in conjunction with the Environmental Media Association), Oprah Winfrey, global warming activist Laurie David and most recently actress Sarah Jane Morris of Brothers and Sisters who wore an Ibiza dress to Kitson for the LivGrn launch event April 21st. This past Earth Day 2009, Tysa herself even participated in a “sustainable soiree sample sale” where women were encouraged to bring their recyclables to benefit a local athlete using recycling to help pay for the cost of volleyball equipment and tournaments. “I have personally always been environmentally conscious. I recycle, drive a hybrid, eat organic when I can and I totally believe in the principles of taking care of the Earth and supporting our environment,” Wright said recently during our interview. “I am happy to see a lot of celebrities supporting my line and the green movement too, of course it is great that I can contribute to the environment with my own practices as well.” Tysa’s line is produced locally in Los Angeles while her pieces have also been seen on hot beach bodies in Miami, Cannes, Cabo San Lucas, the Greek Islands and even St. Tropez (just to name a few). As the summer approaches, one thing is certain. Tysa is a line of lightweight, gorgeous dresses, tops and drawstring pants that has LA loyalty and beyond.
