Good Morning America has canceled Adam Lambert’s scheduled performance due to his AMA performance.
ABC announced,
Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.
Adam responded to the cancellation by telling Ryan Seacrest,
Obviously I respect their decision, they gotta do what they gotta do. It’s too bad, I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to see me.
They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren’t happy about it. I respect their decision – I don’t necessarily agree with it, but they need to do what they need to do.
I saw Adam’s AMA performance and don’t understand why it’s getting such criticism. It wasn’t any different than a Madonna or Britney Spears performance. What do you think?

madonna and britney were on MTV (cable) and ABC is a broadcast network. there are veeeeery different standards for the two. I think ABC made the right decision. People that watch ABC in the morning are old people and stay at home mom’s…both groups that would not be pleased with Adam performance on the AMA’s.
