Malin Akerman’s PSA on Skin Cancer

Malin AkermanCelebrity Malin Akerman, who recently starred in The Heartbreak Kid and 27 Dresses, appears in the PSA for Neutrogena Partnership for Skin Health. In the PSA, Akerman gets close with her on-camera beau as he checks her skin and finds something a little unexpected – an irregular shaped mole.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime, but early detection with a skin cancer exam can save lives.

Knowing your skin, its moles, marks and freckles is the first step in early detection.

A tan is something that we all strive for when the summer comes. It’s always a good reminder to stay healthy as well as beautiful.

    I thought you may enjoy blogging about this anti skin-cancer awareness campaign PSA from Australia. It’s a “rap” song warning about the risks of too much sun exposure. Created by the NSW Cancer Council, the video has a great message for the kids and is catchy! Let me know if you’d like any more information about it.
