umm… yeah seeing this trailer the story is quite off, wheres the part when link is a kid in kokiri forest?? i hate when they do this… makes the whole story line to the games made absolutely useless and the game story is epic as it is. The trailer looks great though i advice, play through ocarina of time before watching this even if your eyes turn to cubes. Also… they could’ve got better looking actors and actresses… Nevertheless I’d go and watch it since I’m a fan of the game :).

Hmmm. This is without doubt the best fake i have ever seen. But they totaly got the beginnig messed up(he’s supposed to meei Princess Zelda as a KID, discover temple of time as a KID, then go FORWARD seven years in time, NOT backwards. Still, looked really awesome :D

I would have had to got bomb the studios for making this. Any Zelda movie would turn out like all other hollywood attempt to make a VG movie: sucky, insulting, unfaithful, vulgar and commercial spin-off of the original universe and story.
And GOD, as a girl who always liked the character design of Link, I think that actor was way too fugly to play the part.

IMO, Ganondorf should look tougher and more evil, also they should represent Link with a well known actor or at least someone who looks like him. Regarding Zelda, she is perfect.

Well, i saw this on youtube first and for all you who hated the imagery here youtube hs it in HD… no jokes. Idk, it looks really cool and 50/50 its fake but seriously… the trailer there is better than the trailer for the actual movie coming out! (yes, its an independant film, see the preview at http://www.legendofzeldaseries.com/main.php?page=fanmovietrailer.html ) but i think (being a semi- zelda fan, idk the story lines) that it looks really good. It would be a HUGE waste of money if they just made that up as a stupid joke. if it is just a joke, ill be really mad.

Sorry, I’m gonna get this off my back right now. I would understand an animated Zelda movie, 3D or anime-ish. But live action fails on the most epic of proportions. First of all, no one on this planet can even come close to looking like Link, Zelda, or Ganondorf. Not unless you stumble across a TRUE Zelda fan that is also a plastic surgeon, costume designer, does makeup design for movies, metal worker, leather worker, and can spot a flaw in a design a thousand miles away. Also, the storylines in this trailer were mixed up. The only game that comes after Ocarina of Time is Majora’s Mask. I know this for sure, because I either played through the games I have again, or watched it on YouTube and studied the beginnings and endings carefully. As a matter of fact, this pessimistic studying is crucial to the developement of the two games I’d like to make for Nintendo. But first I have to work for them, which will not be too far from now…..
…okay, I can’t help myself. I guess I’ll spill SOME of the details…
But the readers must agree that this is created by me, and no one shall try to steal my ideas, or you shall suffer a lot of pain. The first game (and book, hopefully movie) is called Hero of Light. It first takes place in our future, when World War 3 arrives. (don’t call the war in Iraq WW3. It’s not as bad or as epic as the real world wars) Before this war erupted, the war in Iraq was already dealt with, and the soldiers could go home. Unfortunately, there were people involved in an underground movement to start up another war, the third world war.
A few centuries ago, while the Iraq war was still dissipating, the scientists at the Interplanetary Laboratory of Science and Technology (prologue, book Secrecy, copyright me) or ILSTECH, were experimenting with hybrid creatures created from mothers and fathers of two different species. One of those creatures was a winged wolf, the result of the combination of the kingdoms Aves and Animalia. The winged wolves escaped and inhabited what was left of the forested mountains, and within a few centuries worked and lived among the aliens and humans in peace. These creatures developed power over sorcery, and were the leading force of the environment. They had quite a few ‘brawls’ with the humans over independence…
Fast forwarding to the third World War, it was basically nukes dropped on peoples heads on steroids. Over the course of the cew centuries in which the wolves lived, they had gained immortality. But immortality couldn’t stop the nukes from paralyzing them, and killing billions of other life forms. There were only seven left, and they needed to get off the planet.
There was another wolf who protected them from the nukes, and guided them away from the dying Earth across the galaxy to another solar system. There they founded their planet, creating wolves (the wolves mainly stay in a humanoid form, with long ears and two crescent moons on their faces) and 16 gods to watch over them.
The humans had followed them, and a few thousand years later after the foundation of the wolf planet, the humans arrived, led by an arrogant bleep head to rid the planet of the wolves. With the hero that guided the Seven Deities by their side, the humans ran away pissing themselves. (ROFL)
All was at peace, until one of the gods and his daughter suspected the humans of starting another war. To the wolves’ misfortune, after the last war, the hero who guided the deities, the Hero of Light, was sealed in his sword, one that guarded the Wolf Emperor on Earth. His body remained in limbo in another realm, sealed by a semicircular spirit wall, and the spirit shards of all the gods were scattered around the gods’ islands. As the wolf people say in the halls of knowledge, the Hero of Light will only come back if his spirit is laid in the body of one who controls TIME. With time and light in your hands, you can change anything to your will.
That’s where Link comes in. The darkness god’s daughter had a dream of Link just after he defeated Zant and Ganondorf, and after Hyrule Castle was rebuilt and redesigned. (no kitchen? No grand hall? WTH?) Ordona, the Light Spirit, knew there was something wrong, and informed Link of the danger he was in…again. Zelda was safe. The life in question was that of the wolf planet. Link didn’t worry too much about it, but he didn’t forget. When the war on the wolf planet was confirmed to take place, the darkness god’s daughter was sent to retrieve Link and have him inhabit the Hero of Light’s soul. Link was reluctant, as was the rest of his village, but he ventured to the wolf planet, and began the longest adventure in the history of Zelda.
I’ll spill some of the main details. There will be 16 dungeons, all extremely long and varying in difficulty, there will be hundreds of different skills combined that Link can learn, including martial arts, swordplay and craftsmanship, war strategies, the wolf language, dancing, singing, magic, and dozens of other things. He will have several different outfits, and you can choose which one you would like for which ever part of the quest, and you can even play around a little during the adventure by sailing to the 122 islands the gods own and competing in tournaments with the gods. Overall, there is a $#!@ load he can do. This game will be far more complex, and might even take a new game system. As a movie, it would definitely be two disks. As a book, way thicker than any Harry Potter book. Oh, and, just so I don’t get any replies about how easy a game is to beat, there will be no game guide, because I will not allow Prima or Brady Games to do so. The book is guide enough, and there are too many ways to get somewhere, or to defeat a dungeon. This is where you can make friends by sharing stuff online. This will definitely be a game that you cannot beat in one month, or even a month and a half. There’s just too much for you to do. Anyway, that’s all I’m gonna spill. And I wasn’t joking when I said I’d only spill a little bit, ’cause this IS a little bit.

Oh, and for the record, it is as fake as a three dollar bill. The director said so, and there was nothing from Nintendo confirming and approving its pathetic existence. Just like with my story, I will await Nintendo’s approval before I start making it official. Yes, the game will be Nintendo’s, but I will be the real creator, just as Godfather Shigeru Miyamoto is the creator of what Nintendo is today. You can believe the sorry excuse for a live-action movie is real, so long as I can brand the word n00b into your posterior.
To the director of the trailer: leave the fan trailers to us, n00b! The true fans pull off better vids than you! They have their Zelda information correct. Now leave before you make another churlish attempt to slander and defile the godly Zelda series any further. You are only bringing more shame upon yourself.
All that thought the so-called “movie” was real, I am so sorry to hack down your hopes and dreams. This guy could never pull it off without the help of a TRUE fan. I bet he can’t even read all three versions of Hylian, much less write them in splendid form with both hands (I’ve been practicing for almost a year now, and I don’t mean to brag, but I’m pretty damn good at it. I’m the only person in my school and probably in my whole county that can read it.)
How many people that posted on this site knew that most of the signs in Twilight Princess said “a signboard of Hyrule?” There was one that I found so far that said something different. It was the one near Coro’s house, at the gate. It says “the approach to a shrine of forest.” There are also other signs that are skinnier, but I can’t read the gibberish on it. It looks a little like Japanese.
Sorry to the ones who had so many hopes. That’s why you should never count on fan movies. Their just trying to get hype and fame.
Oh, and about fan movies and stuff like that, a guy named Valegard on YouTube has a Zelda Madness series, and some music videos. He does better than the director of the fake trailer. Go watch his stuff. It’s too funny, and absolutely irresistable.

And if this IS serious then i pray to god that Nintendo will sue their ass off for actually attempting to destroy their franchise with a movie that’s obviously going to be terrible. I also hope that they hire a bunch of mobsters to go down to this ‘BMB Finishes’ and beat the CRAP out of all the producers because if i were the creator of Zelda then I’d be insulted if this wasn’t a joke.
I’m a real fan of the games though and contemplated the thought of a movie many times. But what would it actually involve anyway? Just Link by himself most of the movie just running around from dungeon to dungeon solving puzzles to get to the next room and then fighting a boss that consistently manages to revel a bullseye underneath its tongue at specific intervals. Boring

Oh, and, about a potential movie, Smackledorf, the storylines would probably be based off of the mangas that were released, and they would be more indepth and entertaining than the game reveals. That being said, if I ever get to Nintendo, I would have a hell of a time making a Phantom Hourglass movie. I laughed my ass off the entire game, it was just too funny.

i think the movie might actually be ok but i’m questioning on where the hell his sword is i mean if you look at the games it bad enough they changed link right handed on the wii version of zelda twilight princess and its supposed to be on his back and he is supposed to be left handed and if they make this movie a reality i want them to get the sword in the hand its supposed to be in and the sheath on his back that is the true legend of zelda

The movie is fake. No doubt. I’m not all into Zelda but if a big producer made a zelda movie such as Ocarina of Time I would deffenty go watch it. Not this cheesy IGN movie. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glade they made it because I think it sparked progress for a actual producer making a Zelda movie-and with the right storyline of course. Oh….my….gosh. I heard about this movie and after watching the trailer one time… it sucks. What the heck??????? The guy looks like someone should just shove a carrot up his nose its so long. His eyes arent blue. He has brown hair like the the poop in the barn, and hes not even a kid like in ocorina of time. He should have short blonde hair with blue eyes, and something about him that looks like zelda. This guy was not zelda. He was a cheap gi joe doll. People who have never heard about him, he looks like peter pan. Not gi joe. The guy looks like he should be one of the guys talking to zelda, not zelda. He looks like one of those merchants that sell all these crazy things in the games, or like one of those weirdos in the game. Zelda looks like a more cooler guy. I hope the movie makers are listening to this. I hope a director can come up with a better movie then this. This zelda movie looks like a stupid play. It looks like a slap in the face to zelda. If zelda were here hed play his little flute and have the fairy escort the old man out, and then throw him off a cliff. The guy looks old. I mean I dont mean to be really rebuking this guy but hes a slap to zelda, and they forgot to actually look at the looks. I dont think these people even played the games!!! I wont even see it. I think the best actors to play this part would be dutch,irsh, british, or american, also canadian because link was born in canada. (look up on wikipedia)

I hope they can make another one. I agree that, that movie wasnt too good. Just like the new actor in OO7′ the looks just didnt fit him. He looks like a guy who like zeldarocks101 said, would belong in the store selling the merchandise. I hope the makers can see this and make a few changes, but hopefully there will be another good film which portrays zelda as it is, courage, good looks, passion, adventure, humor(like in the games), and adventure with good scenery. Not like a play but like a fantasy or like lord of the rings. A legend. The feel of it will be like watching a beautiful mind. It will also be humorous, and make you want to watch it over and over again with just the right actors.

The preview is all Right. But the oldest time when i play the legend of zelda game on many if the nintendos i used to have including the 64 and the gamecube. But i just wandering. isn’t the link character suppose to be left handed. i know the games i played on the 64 and gamecube, the link i saw is a left handed weilder. just like all the zelda games we played. does not include the twillight princess on the wii, because its a mirror version where most of the enemies and characters are left handed and the main character itself is right handed comparing to the original game that suppose to come out since 2005. where the wii console with its motion senser controller have to go flip flop with the left handed link and put him right hand. its the only way you can play the game motion senser on right hand.

For someone to spend a good amount of money on just a movie trailer- based on an extremely popular game, with millions of fans, then publish the movie on you-tube as a prank, is disgusting. Who these people are, I have know clue, but what I do know is they just disappointed a lot of exciting fans who looked forward to a Zelda movie for years. I will say, they did make one hell of a convincing movie trailer that had me fooled. They spent 2 to 3 years making a 2 minute trailer- that is ridicoulas! Hollywood could have made a damn good 2-3 hours of film within the same amount of time these pranksters did. It is not a question whether Zelda would be a sussecful movie- because it would, its a question whether some punks will make a low-budget movie. I have played the games and loved them. I think The Legend Of Zelda game or movie is the only hope to save it’s fame, as the game-cube and nintendo decline.
