Leonardo Dicaprio is teaming up with watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre to develop two exclusive one-of-a-kind watches for charity.
The activist actor is working with the Swiss company to create the “Time to Care” program, where all the proceeds will be going to the Leonardo DiCaprio fund, which is part of the California Community Foundation.
“We all have to do our part to raise awareness about global warming and the problems we as a people face in promoting a sustainable environmental future for our planet,” said DiCaprio.
The first of the two watches is a unique Master Compressor Extreme Lab, featuring carbon fibre and titanium casing with an automatic tourbillion, two time zones and comes complete with an engraving of the actor’s signature on the back. It is valued at $300,000. It is also the same watch Leonardo wore to the premiere of ‘The 11th Hour,” which focused on the state of the world’s natural environment.
The second watch is a limited edition Reverso Gyrotourbillon 2, which is made of platinum and was designed for the 175th anniversary of Jaeger-LeCoultre. This one’s valued at $400,000.
