Miley Cyrus [Celebrity Parasite] will appear in the next issue of Vanity Fair TOPLESS![Hollywood Backwash]
The teen star did a photo shoot for Vanity Fair in which she appears to be sitting down topless covering herself with a sheet. I wonder if it is even legal to take photos like these and publish them since she is only 15 years old. And what parent would allow it? Apparently Miley’s. Both parents attended the photo shoot[ninjadude] but claim they had left before the last photos were taken. A source said:
Miley’s grandmother and her teacher were there when she shot it. Annie convinced them it was going to be artistic. Her parents are mortified. They know this is a learning moment for Miley.
With all the bad publicity that Miley has been getting from the photo shoot, she decided to issue a statement to People magazine today, April 27, saying:
I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.
Miley also addressed her controversial internet photos in her statement saying:
The pictures of me on the internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone.
We can only hope that Miley’s downward spiral stops here. German Vanity Fair Online is already calling her the next Britney Spears, and I think everyone is beginning to agree.

first of all she had to give the okay to actually do the photo shoot. She’s the one who showed up, and took her shirt off, and covered up with the sheet. she could have said no. she could have said she wanted to have her shirt on.

I have been listening to all of this for days. Aside from the photo shoot for Vanity Fair, and not to mention with Annie Liebowitz (spelling?) both are very respected in the art community. As for photos of her with her girlfriends and being in her underwear, kissing another girl…If any of you are parents I urge you to take a look at your children’s My Space, Face Book,etc. I have seen what the girls are putting out for photos on the internet and they are no different than what is Miley has. Yes poor judgement on the girls part, but we as parents need to be aware of how are children put themselves out to the world. Yes, the world, Kids are so unaware and naive about the internet. I have 5 children, our oldest just turned 18, and our youngest will be 4 in September.
Kids make mistakes, some are worse than others. Regardless if you blame her, her parents or the magazine, lets remember she is only 15 years old.

I personally find the top image of her as hannah montana with all the fakery, image manipulation, expensive clothing, wig, accessories much more disturbing and damaging as a role model to children (buy,buy,buy) than the vanity fair cover showing a shoulder. She probably changed from her top to a sheet instead of a shirt behind a screen or in a dressing room. Why everyone freaks out about this is puzzling. I kept looking for the “obscene” pics before I realized this is the one they were talking about.

Seriously. Anne Leibovitz is a wonderful photographer and the pictures are beautiful images of a beautiful young woman. When did our bodies and looking beautiful and sexy become a bad thing?
