2010 Oscar Hosts Announced!

Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin are teaming up to host the 82nd Academy Awards!

This is the first time Baldwin will host, but Martin hosted the 73rd and 75th Academy Awards.

Interesting choices!

The men have a funny and friendly rivalry going on as Saturday Night Live hosts. Martin has has hosted SNL 15 times, while Baldwin has acted as host just 14 times. Who knew?

The two actors play rivals vying for Meryl Streeps' love in the upcoming film, It's Complicated, too.

In a statement, Steve Martin said:

“I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin.

Alec Baldwin joked back saying:

I don’t play the banjo but I’m thrilled to be hosting the Oscars – it’s the opportunity of a lifetime.”

Steve Martin's band, the Steep Canyon Rangers, are currently on tour.

The 2010 Academy Awards will air live from Kodak Theater at Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles on March 7.

awesome! I love Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin!!! Alec is great on 30 Rock its my favorite show!!

I'm not entirely sure about Alec Baldwin, but I think Steve Martin is one of the best Oscars hosts ever. I'm sure they're going to be awesome!

I agree Michael! I love the Oscars and I am really excited to see what Alec and Steve come up with, it should be comedic gold!
