Chace Crawford: FOOTLOOSE Drop Out!

Sorry girls... looks like Nate Archibald won't be twirling his toes on the big screen anymore.  That's right -- Gossip Girl star, Chace Crawford, has dropped out of the Footloose remake according to EW.com.

Chace Crawford originally attached himself to the project about a year ago, replacing Zac Efron.   Original director, Kenny Ortega, has ALSO left the project. 

As of now, Dancing With The Stars alum, Julianne Hough, is still set to play the female lead.
