Jackie Chan’s New Movie Project

Posted on 09 August 2008 by Maggie

Good news for fans of martial art movies, Jackie Chan is planning to film a new Hollywood action comedy.

After the success of “Kung Fu Panda” and “The Forbidden Kingdom,” Jackie will play a role of a Chinese spy working undercover on loan to the U.S. government in the upcoming project “The Spy Next Door.” Producer Robert Simonds, in an email message, revealed that the film would be a cross between “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” and “Big Daddy.” The shooting date is expected to be in the middle of October.

Soloman So, the executive of Jackie Chan’s company JC Group, confirmed the project but refused to give any additional details. He also said, since Chan is a member of Screen Actors Guild, the project may be delayed if the Screen Actors Guild fails to reach an agreement with Hollywood studios.

Anyway, I’m excited about this new movie because I just love Jackie Chan and his unique style of Kung fu. Hopefully nothing goes wrong!
