More Celebrities & More Stuff at Pre-Oscars Gifting Day 2

Posted on February 22, 2009 - 1:47pm by terra So the country's in a recession, but Oscar time is here, so what better way to celebrate than shower the rich and famous with stuff for FREE??  Oh, well, in these tough economic times even the celebs could use some help and cheering up, right? (Please note sarcasm).  On the bright side, maybe if some celebs jump on the bandwagon of some of these products, it'll help spur on some business success in the U.S.!





Day two of Connected's Pre-Oscar Gifting Suite was a little less busy than day one.  Apparently, walking from booth to booth as people greet you and give you free stuff to hand off to your swag caddy can be exhausting work... think about having a marathon day of shopping and hitting up 2 or possibly 3 malls in one day and then going out and doing it again the next day--TIRING!  Anyhow, the second day was still exciting as it brought in Dr. Drew Lipinski (I LOVE this man!), Andy Dick (NOT this one.) and Jennifer Gimenez from VH1's Sober House (Think you don't like reality TV? Watch this and think again.).





Scott Baio was there with his family (what an adorable baby); now, I met Corey Feldman yesterday and thought he was super skinny, but compared to Scott Baio's body fat percentage, Corey just looks normal.  Man, these guys would drive a girl insane with their non-existent bodies!  Also in attendance was Brenda Song (Suite Life of Zack and Cody), Tom Arnold, Baywatch's Brande Roderick, Tila Tequila (speaking of skinny bodies...) and Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin (I hope some of these were just mistakes by the person running the 'celebrity' guestlist).



Apparently, American Idol's Paula and Randy were supposed to show, but I didn't see them.  I'm sure they'll be okay without these gifts...However, new American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi wasn't about to let the opportunity pass her by... Milk it while you can, girl!

Oh, and can't forget one of favs of the day:  Nick Verreos of Project Runway Season 2.  Who doesn't love Nick?



Again, the hottest items seemed to be the Pony shoes, iPod/iPhone accessories, & Aniki Jeans.



The Maison de Chocolat booth was a hot-spot too, which kinda cracks me up.  You see all these carb-fearing celebs carrying their non-fat venti sugar free vanilla lattes, but the second they get a glimpse of the edible diamonds (candies that look like diamonds), chocolates shaped as chic little flowers , they're pounding the stuff down and taking home bags of it.  Silly celebs.



I can understand it though, because I sampled one of the little chocolate flower concoctions and it had marzipan on the inside--OMG, chocolate nirvana!
