Ryan Reynolds Given 'Wolverine' Spin-Off 'Deadpool'
Due to the X-Men Origins: Wolverine's hot movie sales this past weekend, their is talk about there being another X-Men movie in the works surrounding Ryan Reynolds character "Deadpool".
The 32 year old actor, also known as Mr. Scarlett Johannson, will be reprising his role as Wade Wilson, a wise-cracking, cancer-stricken mercenary who's cured of the disease after undergoing the same Weapon X genetic alteration as Wolverine.
But along with superhuman powers, enhanced strength and self-regenerating healing powers, the slightly unhinged Deadpool can absorb the abilities of dead and captured mutants.
20th Century Fox is also working on other X-Men spin-offs, one focusing on Ian McKellen's character villainous Magneto and another dubbed X-Men: First Class, which is being written by the O.C.'s creator Josh Schwartz.
