Say 'I do!' To The Proposal

If you’re looking for a funny, enjoyable, but predictable chick flick, The Proposal is definitely the movie you want to watch. Playing the tough, bitchy boss, Sandra Bullock’s character Margret Tate is about to be deported to her home country Canada. Thinking quickly on her feet, she blackmails her loyal secretary, Andrew Paxton played by Ryan Reynolds, into marrying her so she won’t lose her position as editor in chief. The “happy couple” goes to Alaska to meet his family and as they learn more and more about each other…well, you can predict the ending.

 Although it’s very predictable, the movie was heart warming and extremely funny. Since Bullock is not playing her normal sweet and quirky character, she demonstrates some versatility of her acting skills by playing the controlling, devil boss. Reynolds was charming and adorable like he normally plays, nothing too much out of the ordinary. Other reviews are slamming The Proposal for not being original, which is true. But if you want a cute and heart warming movie, you know what ticket to buy.
