Stallone's Brother Just Casted in Mafia Film

Posted on April 8, 2009 - 3:11pm by terra Frank Stallone, Sly's real-life brother who was also in the Rocky films (He is a singer, too!), has just been confirmed to be in the upcoming mafia film "This is Who I Am," alongside Robert Miano (Fast and Furious).  Still in negotiations to star in the film is Louis Mandylor (My Big Fat Greek Wedding).







The movie is about Nick, young Italian-American hustler with a chip on his shoulder, living in the hood and struggling to come to terms with his own personal demons.  Nick gets in good with a local crime boss, but this, of course, causes lots of DRAMA and loses his loved ones while on this dangerous, downward path.

I'm excited... I love mafia dramas--Godfather, Scarface, Donnie Brasco.  I think Frank is a good fit, especially with that east coast Italian accent and tough guy glare.



Production will begin in May 2009. Produced by Dan Velez, Tina Pavlides and Steve Nguyen, directed by Marcus Dreeke, and written by Nino Cimino. Stay tuned for updates.
