Danny Noriega and His Dish
Danny Noriega hosted an American Idol Kick-off party to huge success. Here's what Hollywire has learned about the event:
THE COME BACK KID – NORIEGA CELEBRATES WITH A PACKED HOUSE AT HIS AMERICAN IDOL KICKOFF PARTY
American Idol teen heart throb Danny Noriega kicked off Season 8 with a huge party out at Universal City Walk this last week. Special guests included past top American Idol finalists and teen pop stars that performed at the pre-show to Danny American Idol Kickoff Party. Noriega was also filming the pilot to his show, The Danny Dish – a fresh take on American Idol from the point of view of previous contestants and teens starring Noriega and numerous top American Idols.
We caught up with Chikezie and Danny on the red carpet just before they headed in to party it up. Over 1000 fans turned out for Noriega’s American Idol Kickoff Party and taping of the Danny Dish plus teen celebs and other favorite American Idols… even Chicken Little for Season 5!
Pre-show performances included The Stunners, JMcCoy, Boyz Crew, Cliq Biz and Kool Boy and a new group, Ajuku Girls who introduced Noriega. Danny Noriega of course stole the show with his memorable songs from American Idol performances including I Love Rock and Roll.
Noriega rocked the house big time and pumped up the crowd energy with interactive performances. It was a youthful, energetic, hyper crowd that turned out for Danny’s party and taping. The audience seemed to really be having a great time as they wildly cheered on Noriega and participated in “who let the dogs out,” a comedic take on American Idol judge Randy Jackson.
