Dixie Chicks' Emily Robison and Charlie Robison Divorce

Dixie Chicks' Emily Robison and singer-songwriter Charlie Robison's divorce was finalized Wednesday, August 6th. Charlie filed for divorce in January. According to divorce documents, their marriage had "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."

A rep for Charlie Robison told San Antonio Express News that he and his Grammy-winning wife "remain close friends, and their family is the priority and will continue to be.

The couple married in 1999 and have three children: fraternal twins Julianna Tex and Henry Benjamin, born in 2005, and son Charles Augustus "Gus," who was born in 2002.

I hate hearing divorce news that involves innocent children. Let's hope the rep isn't bullsh*tting about an amicable split and friendship.

I have been a HUGE fan of Charlie's since the first time I saw him play at the Bandera Caberet my senior year. I have always loved his music and loved seeing him live, but lately his shows have been pretty bad. I was beginning to agree with my friends who said they weren't going waste thier money seeing him again. After hearing about the divorce, I now know why his concerts seemed so different. Don't know how eager I would be to get out there in front of a crowd, paste on a smile and sing songs about love if I was going through a divorce.

I saw Charlie on stage in San Antonio. He gave a pretty good performance and his kiddo's were all over the stage. It was funny that he didnt have a nanny or babysitter while doing a gig. His kids were watching him, singing and interacting with the crowd. Odd. But I also saw the some Dixie Chick documentary and Charlie was pretty much with the kids. So sad, that they were in love had children and couldnt stay together due to work and other issues that lead to the discord.
