Family, Fans, and Hollywood React to the Latest on Rihanna and Chris Brown

Rihanna's latest decision today to not press charges against the man who severely beat her up several weeks ago is facing some serious heat. It's not just her fans or the general public who are upset by this news but her family as well.
After hearing about Brown's felony charges and his daughters inability to do the right thing Rihanna's father, Ronald Fenty, told USMagazine.com:
"I don't know how to react. Chris is a very talented guy," Fenty told the magazine. "I still think he's a little immature for Rihanna. Justice can never be served in this situation. He can't feel the pain she felt. I don't believe in hitting a woman. I hope everything works out better for them. I don't feel happy or sad. He's in the court's hands. Let justice prevail."
Let us pray the justice system does prevail! Because obviously Rihanna (a.k.a Robyn Fenty) does not have the sense or ability to take care of herself right now. She needs guidance from a professional who has dealt with domestic abuse before.
Sadly, Fenty also told USMagazine.com that he and his family cannot reach Rihanna. In fact she may have gone as far as changing her phone numbers and email. I can understand why you would change sensitive information like that - so that your abusive jerk of a boyfriend cannot find or ever get a hold of you again! But to keep your family out of the loop and shut them out is terrible. Fenty told UsMagazine.com:
"I've gone numb. I've heard so much. But I can't get [in touch with] her. Her mother can't get [in touch with] her. Her brother told me she changed her e-mail. Somebody has a stranglehold on her. I'm lost.
"I'll text the old numbers she had, and I call them. One girl answered, and she said, 'This is not Robyn's number anymore,' " he recalled. "I asked, 'Do you work for Robyn? Do you deal with Robyn?' And the girl hung up, so I don't know what's going on anymore. I'm lost."
Rihanna's family aren't the only ones disappointed by her not pressing charges. The public is taking a stand against her too. They just cannot understand why someone would turn their back on their family and go back to an abusive relationship. She was either weak to begin with or Chris Brown has beat her and her self-esteem down to the point of no return. One fan wrote:

Sorry I can't support Rihanna for getting back with Chris Brown. I hope he goes to jail for his felonies
Jamie Foxx said this in reaction to domestic violence in an interview with ETOnline.com:"No man should ever put their hands on you. No man should ever touch a woman for any situation. I don't care if he's 8-years-old on the preschool/play school ground...100 years old it doesn't matter."

[/caption]A source close to Jay-Z who has been Rihanna's mentor told USWeekly that he "hit the roof" when he heard about the attack, and has said that Brown is "a walking dead man," that "he messed with the wrong crew."
To make matters worse, rumors are surfacing that she not only forgave him, and took him back, but that the couple may have secretly gotten married as well!? The story goes that the couple's recent meeting at Diddy's house resulted in apologies and a marriage proposal from Chris. Allegedly the couple called a minister and sealed the deal.
This is psychotic news if it is true! Did anybody watch Law & Order:SVU the other night!? The crimes comitted on the shows are real, they do happen, and in this episode a seriously abusive husband ends up killing his wife! In LAPD's detective notes Chris Brown allegedly threatened to kill Rihanna during their altercation. Helpguide.org warns against staying in an abusive relationship and to take heed of the warning signs:
Domestic abuse often escalates from threats and verbal abuse to physical violence and even murder.
Despite the fact that Ronald Fenty cannot get ahold of his daughter he did say that he supports her.
"Anyone in my family, I'm there for them. All of my kids, I'm there for them. Rihanna's no exception," he said. "All of them, I would support. I would tell them where they go wrong, I'd chastise them when they do sh--, but to be honest with you, they have their own life to live."
And Fenty has a message for Chris Brown:
"I would tell Chris, 'Don't ever try again, don't even think about it.' I'm hurt and disturbed at that scenario."
So I am not the only one heartbroken by her poor decisions. But I am happy that Brown is facing two felony charges that could lead to four years behind bars. Give me some feedback my Hollywire readers!
