Kanye West Booed Onstage at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee
Kanye West, scheduled to perform at Tennessee Music & Arts Outdoor Festival, Bonnaroo, on June 15th at 2:45am, was met by angry fans when he took the stage two hours later than promised. Meaning his set began at nearly 4:45 in the morning!
While they were waiting for him to appear onstage, fans chanted "Kanye sucks" and threw various objects onto the stage in protest. When he finally opened the set with one of his most popular songs, "Good Morning", Kanye was immediately booed for his late appearance. He continued to perform into dawn; as a result, concert-goers started to filter out, some even fell asleep while he performed.
His extremely late arrival onstage is blamed on an unnecessarily elaborate stage set, which apparently took hours longer than expected to set up. Other reports state that Pearl Jam played a bit longer than scheduled, resulting in Kanye's late arrival.
