Michael Jackson Announces Comeback

Michael Jackson announced in front of hordes of screaming fans on March 5th that he will perform his last shows in July.  He called it his 'curtain call' and the set of shows is called 'This is it' again reiterating that this will be his final performance.  Michael Jackson made the announcement himself in a press conference,  in London, to solidify the gravity of the concert.  Rumors were circulating last year that he would have his final farewell concert in the fabulous Las Vegas, but when it came time to reach a deal, Jackson pulled out.

The BBC has advertised that 10 shows will be preformed by the singer in the O2 venue, no doubt the tickets will sell out in a matter of seconds!  Everyone has waited for his big comeback for years!  Jackson has not been onstage singing since 2001, when his last album was released.  I wont go into the legal, financial and medical woes that the 'Thriller' singer has endured this last decade, it is well known that he has been in the spotlight for everything but his singing.  This event is truly historic in the music world, and a smart way for Michael to revamp his image and recoup some cash.
