The Bravery, G. Love, Ben Harper and More Rock Out at the West Beach Music Festival
Tons of people came out to attend the West Beach Music Festival this weekend, which is held annually on the beautiful beach of Santa Barbara, California. Each of the three days were filled with lots of awesome rock, reggae and electronic music acts, good but bad-for-you food, cool clothing vendors and a random hula hoop booth... oh, and let's not forget the afterparties at night for those who wouldn't call it quits.
On Saturday the beach was packed to watch the bands on the three various stages, with the highlight performances being The Bravery, G. Love and Special Sauce, Shwayze and Ben Harper. (Click here to see the entire 3-day line-up)
The Bravery was the first big act to perform, and while from the pit they sounded decent, from the crowd's POV they had massive sound issues, so it was a bit disappointing, but they put on a good show otherwise.
G. Love actually turned out to be one of the best performances of the day. He's really talented - playing harmonica, guitar, and singing all at the same time without missing a beat.
The girls in the audience were SCREAMING for him like he was a rock star...and we saw him exiting his trailer later on in the night with what looked to be a groupie..
Shwayze had the crowd going CRAZY! (and we didn't even mean to rhyme!!) There wasn't a single person in the crowd who wasn't waving their hands in the air like a maniac for Cisco and Shwayze.
Ben Harper definitely drew the biggest crowd by far as he closed out the show. He picked up just about every instrument on the stage and jammed with his band of about 20 people. He was great live and a great choice to end the show!
