We all know the Beatles' classic song 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds', well, Lucy Vodden, the woman who inspired the song, has passed away. Lucy died at the age of 46 after losing her long battle with lupus. Her death was announced Monday by St. Thomas Hospital in London, where she was being treated for the disease for more than five years.Lucy was Julian Lennon, John Lennon's son's, schoolmate back in the day. Julian, age 4, came home from school one day with a drawing and showed his father saying it was "Lucy in the sky with diamonds."Lennon seized on the image and developed it into what is widely regarded as a psychedelic masterpiece.Rock music critics thought that the song had to do with LSD, but John Lennon always claimed the phrase came from his son, not the from a desire to spell out the initials LSD.
