Taylor Swift] attended the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night, where she was once again nominated for the most coveted award of the evening -- fan-voted Entertainer of the Year.
Despite being in the only female in the category, up against big country vocalists Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean, Swift's fans managed to win her the award for the third year in a row. It looks like all those video messages of her cat showing fans how to vote totally paid off, huh?! The award has been female dominated for the last several years, with Carrie Underwood winning in both 2008 and 2009.
However, Swift didn't totally dominate the show as in past years. Although she did win the big award, powerhouse country couple Shelton and Miranda Lambert had big nights, too, winning for Male and Female Vocalists of the Year. Lamberts album Four the Record also took home the award for Album of the Year, while Kelly Clarkson got some love at her first big country event for her duet Don't You Wannna Stay with Aldean. The song won Single Record of the Year, as well as Vocal Event of the Year.
Do you think Swift deserved to win Entertainer of the Year again!?
