"Benny the Bull" is being sued

A lawsuit was filed on Monday, April 21 against the Chicago Bulls and their mascot, "Benny the Bull." Don C. Kalant, an Illinois dentist, is suing the franchise for an undisclosed amount of damages for a high-five gone bad. Kalant alleges that "Benny the Bull" grabbed his hand and pulled him forward as he ran by, hyper-extending his arm.  Chicago-Bulls

The alleged incident occurred at the Bulls February 12 game when "Benny" was running between the second row and floor level seats encouraging fans to give him high-fives, Kalant extended his hand and "Benny" grabbed it instead of high-fiving it. The Naperville dentist claims that his injuries were so severe that he is unable to work and is on leave through May. This will probably be one of the last times you see the Bulls mascot interacting with fans because this frivolous injury lawsuit will most likely be followed by rules limiting mascot-fan interaction. Sue happy Americans are ruining the fun for everyone.

This is so lame, I can't believe a person is actually suing a mascot. If he's a dentist I don't really think he needs the money either.

What next? People need to stop suing for lame reasons. Maybe he shouldn't have high fived the mascot, or maybe the mascot should sue him for ruining the fun of mascot/fan interaction. What is wrong with people?

I would love to hear the side of the mascot. I just see the other guys side. also you would think it would be on video. I would also love to see the video of all this happening at the game. I am a pro mascot myself and people interacting with the mascot should take a little responsiblity if they get hurt.

I'll sue the dentist for insulting my intelligence.
