It looks like Gov. Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol Palin, won’t be getting her happily ever after.  Levi Johnston told the AP that he and Bristol mutually agreed to call it quits “a while ago.”

If you recall Bristol shot to stardom just days after her mom, Sarah Palin, was chosen as John McCain’s presidential running mate and was forced to reveal that her teenage daughter was pregnant.  Everyone across America watched as Levi joined the Palin family on the campaign trail displaying his love and support for Bristol and her mom, a tatic that didn’t help the republican party, which is favored by conservatives, desolve the situation at all, but it did have me believing that this young couple was going to make it.  Boy was I fooled… Its only been 2 1/2 months since little Tripp’s arrival and already the wedding is off and the drama has begun.  It started with a statement from Levi’s sister being issued on Star magazine’s website saying that Bristol “makes it nearly impossible” to visit Tripp.  Palin’s camp responded with,

Unfortunately, my family has seen many people say and do many things to ‘cash in’ on the Palin name.  Sometimes that greed clouds good judgement and the truth.

With the Johnston’s Oxycontin ring shut down its believable that they might try and ‘cash in’ on the Palin name. However, now that the election is over and their popularity is dying down I doubt the Palin name is worth much.
