Britney going to court?
Britney, I hope you’re taking notes from The Clash when refusing to show up at court--“I Fought the Law and the LAW WON.”
L.A. Commissioner, Scott Gordon, is FED UP and expects Brit Brit to show in court to address questions regarding her recent erratic behavior (most notably her standoff with LAPD at her home a couple weeks ago). If Britney does not show up to the hearing, she will likely not be able to regain visitation rights to see her children until at least April 2008.
And to rub it in, LAPD will not provide a police escort to Ms. Spears to and from the courthouse this time around. As well all know, Britney is hounded by Paparazzi 24/7, so traveling without a police escort, having to find her own parking, and entering the building through the maze of the media frenzy, should be quite the spectacle. She has been given several opportunities (paid for by our tax dollars folks) to have the assistance of the police; however, she’s spit in the face of the “Boys in Blue” in the past by not showing up on time and being generally “uncooperative.”

Oh Britney, Britney, Britney. We’ve given you so many chances to come around and be a good Mom. We were all rooting for you to get your act together. And now, as was also the case for Paris Hilton, it looks like the Law is coming down with an iron fist--actually issuing legal and binding consequences for irresponsible and disrespectful actions--imagine that!

Although… it seems that legal issues and the threat of having her kids taken away permanently has not seemed to phase Brit. Any rational mother would have taken a good look at herself in the face of all this chaos. Britney, please take this court visit as a chance to show up and take responsibility to become part of your kids’ lives instead of continuing to be an outrageous nuisance.
