China Hates on Sharon Stone
It seems as if the movies weren't the only things getting bad reviews at Cannes.Sharon Stone made some uh...interesting...remarks Thursday to Hong Kong's Cable Entertainment News at an event during the Cannes Film Festival.
China is now considering a boycott of the actress' films (as of right now- two this year and two next year) of her comment last week that the recent devastating earthquake. The quake, which right now has resulted in at least 65,000 deaths, Stone claims is just karma in response to the government's controversial policy against Tibet.
Her remarks triggered anger across the Chinese-language media and were called "inappropriate" by the founder of one of China's biggest urban cinema chains, who said his company would not show the Hollywood star's films.
Stone, a prominent supporter of the Dalai Lama and Tibetan rights, told one reporter, "I'm not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else."

"And then this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and then I thought, is that karma? When you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?"
Did she forget that China has a potential audience population of ONE BILLION?!
Yikes.
Stone better be careful or else they will build a 'great wall' against her.
